Be careful about doggin your truck like they do they have full pulling tranny's and alot of motor work done. Just to keep that in mind. But if you want to you can do trash dumpster pulls....we have done that before. Its actually fun.

Re:Pullin' Videos!

Wouldn't he have a disadvantage being lower...
Less traction.

Re:Pullin' Videos!

The traction is gonna be the same. Whether he has a 6 " lift or is slammed to the weeds... the tires still meet the road in the same location.
Bald tires will make quite a difference.

Re:Pullin' Videos!

higher hitch has the advantage (lifted truck). the angle of the strap exerts a force pulling the higher hitch downward and exerts a force lifting the lower hitch. advantage goes to the one that is higher. But, this contest is all about weight and traction and has little to nothing to do with power. Haul a load up a hill to see who has the most pulling power.

Re:Pullin' Videos!

a couple months, two kids i knew did a pull off on dirt. the 6 speed HO with an EZ had a 4.5" lift with SSR's, and the stoke auto powerstroke had a little bit bigger lift. the tires were more of an all terrain...flatter and wider; mud tires don't do well on dirt for competition. sure, the CTD has a lot more torque, but he had no chance in the dirt...got pulled all over the place.

do the trailer towing up a mountain.
