Prowler outside my house last night

Received a call from a neighbor/friend last night telling us he watched a taller person walking around our house just after midnight. We were all snoozing away and did not get the message until I woke up at 5 AM, so we missed whoever it was.

I spent about an hour this morning walking our property, following tracks, and putting together a profile of shoe size and type, etc. It has recently rained and the prints were easy to see and size up. The tracks matched the neighbors path he watched the person walk as well. No vehicle brought the person into our area, so they either walked in or live here.

Whoever this person is, walked up to the windows. The tracks bear that out. There is really not much to see inside my house at this time of night except maybe a M590 looking back at you.

This is not the first time. Roughly 6 months ago someone was poking around outside my window at 3 AM and it woke me up, but by the time I surveyed the situation they were gone. Another female neighbor said someone was looking inside her window around that time as well.

What are the chances this is Paris Hilton wanting to have a chat with an old, fat, redneck like me? Probably pretty slim so I am going with: a bad person is up to no good here.

these are always fun to play with too. they might even soil themselves. put up some exterior cameras and record it and post up the results. could be pretty funny to watch.

We have a kid in the neighborhood that is a couple fries short of a happy meal. I almost got him one day when he walked in the house. Fortunately, I recognized something was wrong with him. Autistic teenage not knowing what he is doing.
Scary part is I was the victim of a home invasion were a friend was murdered and I was shot. First reaction was to shoot first, then dial 911.

Booby trap the side of your house and see what you can catch?!!

Run a video camera on the op for sure so we can share the joy of you catching him.

A friend on mine used to lay a piece of plywood with 16p nails sticking up, under the mulch at his back gate and under his windows. You would hear it everytime someone tried to look in or come in the gate.

thats a sweet idea. maybe make some barbs on it so when they went to jerk their foot off the nail it would make the hole a bit worse lol

This was a couple of years ago. He moved out of that area into the country further. Probably a good idea...

If I didn't have kids, neighbors, etc. I would have a couple of these roaming the property at night.
