problem wiring my subwoofer !!HELP!!

i have a problem with hooking up my kicker subwoofer in my truck. Everything works fine but when I hit the windows or power seat or locks ect. You hear a small thump like feedback in the sub....this is the first time I hooked this amp using the high input on the amp. Meaning you use the signal from a speaker and run it to the amp rather than use rca wires from the head unit. I did this because I kept my factory radio. If anyone understands what im doing here and might have some input I would really appreciate it thanks so much.

Where did you run your ground? Alot of times if you don't ground on good metal or to close to speakers you will get feedback.

depending on where you mounted your sub, one of the bolts from the seats makes a great ground, just polish to bare metal, the bolt and the bit of floor around the bolt hole, and you are golden.

The interference is most likely coming through the stereo. With the way you are wiring your amp (speaker level inputs) sounds or interference that are normally not noticed get amplified. Do you have a gain adjustment on the amp? If so, you may want to try tuning the gain way down and see if this helps.

you might want to get a line level and splice it into the rear speakers. that will give you rca outputs. that is how mine is wired to keep the factory deck.

ditto. when i was younger i was into the big stereos. i used the same converter through 3 trucks.

go to circuit city and ask for a "line out converter". then just get rca cables and go that route. never had any problems with it.

Where exactly did you run the wires going to the subs? If you ran them to close to a power wire you could be getting interference that way. Try running your speaker wire on the opposite side of the vehicle as your power wire.
