price of tri-axle loaded with logs

For all you wood harvesters/tree guys. Trying to gauge this if its fair. I want logs for wood burning purposes. Guy is selling a tri-axle truck, 20' long, 8' tall and 5' wide loaded with maples and oak logs for $600 delivered. Freshly cut. Does this sound like a fair deal?

Thanks for the feedback.

I think the grapple load of hardwood for my father up in New Hampshire area is about the same price, maybe even a little more (last check was around $700).

Sounds like a little more than 6 full cords at $100 a cord. A little steep, unless it's cut and split. $750-$800 for a truckload of 10 cord in 8ft logs. Mostly oak, maple, some cherry.

If I remember correctly, we were supposed to get 12 Cords out of the load delivered, was actually around 11 after all said and done. Hardwood cut, split, and delivered was hovering around $175-200 a cord last check in the Northeast.

Thats about the going rate here now. Used to be about half the price a year ago. With the high oil prices this summer more people went to burning wood this year and drove the price up.
