Yep, without you here, there's no one to pick on about spelling. Well... not really. There's PLENTY of people here that cannot spell, you just do it more colorfully! Miss seeing you regular Claude, you need to get back into a proper routine!
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28th, (26 Days, 18 Hours & 7 Minutes 'til Christmas)
1520 - Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan reached the Pacific Ocean after passing through the South American strait. The strait was named after him. He was the first European to sail the Pacific from the east.
1922 - Capt. Cyril Turner of the Royal Air Force gave the first public exhibition of skywriting. He spelled out, "Hello USA. Call Vanderbilt 7200" over New York's Times Square.
1925 - The Grand Ole Opry made its radio debut on station WSM.
1942 - 491 people died in a fire that destroyed the Coconut Grove in Boston.
1943 - U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin met in Tehran to map out strategy concerning World War II.
1963 - U.S. President Johnson announced that Cape Canaveral would be renamed Cape Kennedy in honor of his assassinated predecessor. The name was changed back to Cape Canaveral in 1973 by a vote of residents.
1983 - The space shuttle Columbia took off with the STS-9 Spacelab in its cargo bay.
1994 - Jeffrey Dahmer, a convicted serial killer, was clubbed to death in a Wisconsin prison by a fellow inmate.
1995 - U.S. President Clinton signed a $6 billion road bill that ended the federal 55 mph speed limit.
2010 - WikiLeaks released to the public more than 250,000 U.S. diplomatic cables. About 100,000 were marked "secret" or "confidential." My feeling about Wiki is that if they could get their hands on something that was secret or confidential, then it wasn't being cared for properly in the first place. What's your opinion?
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Just when you think you know someone, they try to impress someone by being someone else.
Cffee is ready. Ph00 is phabulous. Phound some phine donuts at the dumpster this morning. Enjoy!

Mornin' All!
Still hanging at -26* today. Couple more and it's supposed to climb towards the 0* mark.
6mo old slept nearly through the night last night for the first time in over a week. Made me feel a bit better this morning. Except the 7yo is probably getting the cold now..... Oh well, life happens.
Monday in the big house. All the Admins will be here......yipee.

I would like to order new weather please. The warm temperature would be nice if I could actuall enjoy it. Wind is holding steady at 70 mph. The shingles are coming off the barn, the highway south of Calgary is closed because the semi's keep blowing off the road or tipping over. I am NOT making that up! To top it all off, there is a big grass fire about 8 miles upwind of my house. Oh yeah, the power keeps flickering off too.
Hey team, we made it home Long drive it is from DFW to Tucson. Would be much faster if it wasn't for this traffic stuff. Got the dog picked up, the groceries shopped and now kicking back with a cold beer, waiting on enchiladas to come out f the oven. It is amazing how a shower can make one feel human again.
So did everyone eat all their turkey? Since we had a pretty big group and we were the visitors, we're finding ourselves craving leftovers. I think since we're planning to sleep and be lazy all of December to make up for the busy November I'll do a little turkey for us.
Anyway, good to be home

Finished off the last of the pumpkin brigade last night.
