What Color To Paint My Truck? Two Toned

Hey All,
The thought has been going through my mind for the past year or two that I should repaint my truck, I'd like to make it two toned but I am still debating which colors. I was thinking about using the factory Driftwood Silver color on bottom and a darker metalic grey on top. (I am less than ecstatic to think that I'll have to pull the bed to paint the cab and bed though, I'll probably just leave the jambs and under the hood factory color) Another option would be to go with the factory color and do a spray on bedliner in a darker grey for the bottom... this may also help in the future with any possible rust or rock chips there.

Thanks for your opinions.

That's already a good looking truck. I've seen that color combined with burgundy, and that color combined with a bright blue, and really like both those combos. I know those aren't the choices that you had in mind, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents. Good luck.

If the truck needs a paint job how 'bout sticking with the factory color then adding some graphics? Pinstriping of some sort?

leave the factory color alone!
unless you plan on doing a frame off paint job (very expensive)

all the little places that's hard to paint will show up later.

I like every factory color....as long as its black I do however like the darker grey, I think come call it "gunmetal", the one thats not quite black and definitely not silver...

I think you should leave it alone its a very sharp truck! I personally wanted a silver one myself when i was searching for one. Ever thought about giving it a debadge/ trim delete treatment. give it the sport look. then give it a chrome overdose of accesories. all colors look good with chrome but to me silver and chrome go together like pb&j.Definately spray the rockers.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many replies. Thanks for your inputs guys.

Gottlos, I have given some thought to getting one of those full body side decals. I probably would do that if I stick to just one color, but it may be to much if I do the rockers.

How well does the black Line-X stuff clean up? It won't trap dirt and always look semi dirty unless I spray stuff on it, will it? If not I think that is probably the way I'll go, it also should hide if my doors ever end up rusting through on bottom like many Dodges do.

2500, that is why I am reluctant to make the big change. Ideally I'd paint it gunmetal metalic silver on top and factory color on bottom but I think that'll be to much time/ work.

Thanks again for all your inputs.
