Two Honda Four Trax, One Polaris Sportsman 400, one Polaris Predator 500, one 90 cc Polaris is in our family. They are great and a lot of fun. Me I'd rather have the ARGO with tracks.

One more thought . . . not that I am a "buy only American-made products" kind of person (we own a Honda Pilot), but for all of the "foreign truck" comments made, . . . . it's interesting how we abandon that thinking sometimes in other areas . . . I believe Polaris is American made with over 50 years of history.

Try arctic cat. They are a great American ATV, especially the Prowler. You might have to search for a good deal, but it will be worth it when you find one.

I did drive the Prowler but wasn't impressed. I drove the Kubota right after and dollar for dollar, the Kubota is twice the machine but I guess it's what you want to do with it. I'm not into going fast or anything like that, I just want to get where I'm going with my cute little wife next to me and maybe the kids in the back (modified seat and rollbar). Everytime my wife would go on a 4 wheeler ride with me said that everyone would leave us in the dust because I wouldn't shift out of 3rd. So I'm looking for comfort, good looks (I guess) and durability on the right platform but haven't found exactly what I want yet so I'm holding out until the perfect machine comes along before I drop 10K. I wish Honda would get off their butts and put one out there because I would be all over it.

Amen to that...i like Honda. Weve got 2 86s that run better than our polaris' and bombardier. If you dont need speed, that Kubota is great. We almost got one for the ranch, but our rhinos top speed 41mph is soon to be replaced with the grizzly ecm to go 57mph.

I love Polaris, and I kinda wish we had waited to buy our Ranger XP since we don't use it for real utility work. More like a toy to play with on our property. Oh well...

Arctic Cat is where we went after Polaris didn't hold up for us.
We had 5 of the 6x6's on tracks taking hunters through the marsh and most days 3 would go down halfway through.
We have 8 cats now and in 2 years have never had one stop or fail. Even though they aren't even on tracks they do us a better job than Polaris.
They don't like the prowler at all though. it's low to the ground and has too much drag for the marsh. Running 500 4x4s with a special rack made to carry 2 hunters facing rear.

I'll throw in my vote for the mule 630cc gas or the diesel (both are rated as industrial engines). Ours has been beyond durable. It's been rode hard and not put up at all for several years and no mechanical breakdowns of anykind. If you look at utv shootouts it always places 1st or 2cnd . On the down side it's slow(28 mph max) but it will tow 5000#'s of hay without a problem. I like the Rhino for play but for 90% work and 10% hunting/playtime the biggest of the Mule series is hard to beat. If you farm, cut wood or have a lot of land you'll wonder how you ever did without one.

I've also had good luck with the Polaris products that I've owned. As fun as that rig looks it doesn't appear to have room for a deer or much stuff on it. I still like the Rangers for their work ability.

I loved my 500HO, it never left me on the trail and I was still able to sell for decent price with close to 3,000 mile of hard trail riding on it.
The RZR looks like it would be fun.
