I just recently purchased a new carry weapon. I was checking out both the Sig Sauer p2022 .40 and the S&W M&P .40.

I ended up going with the S&W just because we already have a couple other sigs. I love the S&W. It is nice and compact.

No offense meant here, but with only 2 shots, most people would hardly call that the ultimate self defense pistol. When the adrenaline is pumpin, and the light is low, I'd feel way more comfortable with even 5 shots of +P 38spl than only 2 of.45/.410. I don't think that even the best marksmen in the world would rely on any 2 shot firearm for self defense. The human variable is too unpredictable to be able to guarantee yourself that you are going to hit a bad guy in a worse case scenario. Plus, what if there's more than 1. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice little gun and I's even enjoy owning 1, it is not, however, the ultimate self defense pistol. Would make a great #2 or #3 gun to carry though.

Wink

I have an XD-9mm that is the House/Hunting/Fishing/Camping, carry gun! For the rest of the week I carry a Bersa Thunder .380 with Corbon DPX Bullets! 7+1 and from around 2' to 20' you can drive tac's........ Easily concealed and light. The XD is my favorite gun period! I had a .27 Glock and got rid of that in-accurate and bought the Bersa + a High-Point 9mm Carbine for fun. The XD Line of guns are great. Go to the range and shoot the XD side by side with the Glock of equal caliber and size. You will like the Glock for sure, but you will LOVE the XD !!! JB

Lead Bullets are in a Glock! Do a search and you will have a weekend full of why you should not shoot them! Of course everyone said that I could shoot them out of the XD but I'm not that cheap! Remington FMJ's are only 15 cent a piece as long as you buy in bulk at Dick's Sporting Good's!

You can't go wrong with a Glock.

Glock 36 (45 acp) is well worth checking out, it's slim and nicely concealable, downside is that it's mag cap is only 6.

The mod 23 (.40 sw) is the same size as the 19 (9mm) about 5"x7" this is about the max size I want to carry.

I like glocks for their simplicity and reliability, they're kinda like a polaroid camera...point and shoot...instant results...simple and pretty inexpensive to boot, about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of an HK or Sig (450 vs 800+).

I hear the Daisy BB rifle company makes a Jim Dandy weapon. Their motto is " If ya can't wing'em... sting'em."

I carry a Para Wart hog in a shoulder rig from time to time in the winter or the Carry 12 in a side holster. Got the twin to go with it too, the Hog 9.

9, 40, and 45 in SS on the top. Very cool pieces. A little big but for the money very dependable.
Also got the CZ 9, 40, and 45 to go with these three.

I am living proof that you CAN conceal a Glock wearing nothing but a Speedo, but it's awfully uncomfortable and prints like crazy.
