That was from last season.
I seen it lots of times, and it still brings a smile to my face.
Story goes that they were running on a VERY hot day, and the guy in the S-10 knew the Dodge was running with no water on the last race, so he waited and waited and waited to come to the line and stage hoping the Dodge would blow first.
I guess he would have been better off spending that time checking his nitrous bottle.

I caught the episode last night aswell. It seems like alot of sandbaggin can go on in one episode. Did you hear the guy from BD say "we MAY be pushing 700hp"
The guy w/ the s-10 was saying the BD truck was running 3 porgrammers? I'm sure the tripple dog was one but what were the other two?

That was from the second season of Pinks, I was there when they filmed it, the guy in the s-10 was a tool, he was making all kinds of "claims" that never made the show.

From Wiki:
Sandbagging is a term used in drag racing when a racer has a dial-in time much slower than the car can actually perform. The function of sandbagging is to guarantee a win by outperforming the slower opponent at first, and then hitting the brakes near the finish line in time to just barely beat the opponent. However, sandbaggers run the risk of beating their dial-in time, thus disqualifying them from the race. Sandbaggers must be experienced in controlling this technique, and therefore, it should not be attempted by beginners. Sandbagging faces much criticism, as many argue that it is essentially cheating.

You only have to worry about beating dial in time when bracket racing. These guys are not really bracket racing though...
More like giving you some bargaining power.

Yeah, I have a problem with the way they do it too. Also, I am really suprised there arent more physical altercations. Some of those guys are not prepared to lose.
