Thats Beautiful. Good job on the cars. They look exceptional. Have you tried R/C aircraft yet? I moved to it a few years ago and now have a basement full of them. Just no time to play :'(
Ed

Re:Pic of Wood ship model I made.

Thanks for all the kind remarks. This is a kit I bought but there are numerous pieces you have to make from 1/16" x 1/8" "2x4's" and make up. The hull has planking that was nailed on and then smoothed then you put on in the same size but paper thin, a sheeting that is stained to the color and it has to be glued on and the ends of the planks and sheeting to be angled and bent. The masts and booms had to be tapered to a certain diameter by sanding and then the rigging of the string. By far the most time consuming....
Got the thing on top of our entertainment center now

You can get a ship like this or a easier one at
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=BJA&V=LAT

There are other sites available as well.
Even a 42" Titanic model that is $400.
This ship kit was $167

Anyway, glad to share my joy hobby
Eric

Re:Pic of Wood ship model I made.

sherod,
I have done a wood frame plane with cloth covering before. It is the Cadet Senior, if you know what that is. It is a tricycle gear flat bottom airfoil wing that was 6' as I recall, I had a 10 oz. fuel tank and .45 sportster engine. It was a 3 channel with only throttle, elevator, and rudder. this thing was a sailer, I would tool around at half throttle and stay up for over 1/2 hour. one time while on it's maiden flight, an experienced man was bringing it in for a landing and he noted that the engine was quiet, then he saw it was not running! He coudn't tell!! came in for a perfect landing..... That was my first attempt at plane building as well.... Guess I do alot of things well.....

Eric

Re:Pic of Wood ship model I made.

The Senior is one of the best planes to learn with. I started with the EagleII and still have it. slightly worn, but still flies pretty good. Again, great job on the ship. I have thought about it, but so far have not attempted that big a job. Ed
