I am glad their some proud Americans who stand up for their country, trust me from my travels you guys have a great one just like us.
But
No offence BossHawg600, but that Canada comment is not merited, the Liberals sent our troops over, and as one westerner pointed out the new Conservative (ya I lost) is also supporting our troops. Not one to toot Canada's horn very often but now I feel is an appropriate time, though we are just Canadians never forget our reputation as a fighting nation, Vimy Ridge and Dieppe might not mean anything to you but they sure do to me. Also on D-Day the Canadians at Juno Beach we were the only Allies to achieve their objectives that crazy day, some think luck played a big part, I don't. We are only a country of 30 million vs 300 million in the States, we just lost 4 of our Armed Forces today in Afghanistan, in perspective those 4 troops are a huge contribuition. Forgive me for getting a little excited, I know the USA took a pounding at Omaha (another beach along the the Normandy coast of France which was unfortunately defended by the 352nd German division unlike Utah) and I am by no means taking anything away from their contribution for that is what one that war and lets not forget the contribution Woodrow Wilson brought in helping win the First World War when the USA entered in 1917.
I might sound like a very proud French Canadian but that is exactly what I am, my Dad's father fought in World War One, 2 of my uncles in World
War Two , my Dad and another uncle in Korea with an all French Canadian Regiment "Royale 22ieme Regiment", thank God I was born in more peaceful times for I know I would have gone as a young man (trust me this are not idle words), as you say in the States I call a spade a spade (might be wrong expression no offence intended) in my business if you don't speak your mind you will get walked over.
I know your comment is not shared by the majority of other Americans. Again no offence intended, sometimes ignorance causes strange debates.
A toast to our Boys from the Red And White and lets not forget Blue may you return safely.

I got this one from a military guy today:: Kinda says it all.
I Am Coming!
Dear Terrorists,
I am a Navy Aviator. I was born and raised in a small town in New
England. I come from a family of five. I was raised in a middle class
home and taught my values by my mother and father. My dad worked a
series of jobs in finance and my mom took care of us kids. We were not
an overly religious family but attended church most Sundays. It was a
nice small Episcopal Church. I have a brother and
sister and I am the youngest in my family. I was the first in many
generations to attend college.I have flown Naval aircraft for 16 years.
For me the flying was never a lifelong dream or a "calling," it just
happened. I needed a job and I liked the challenge. I continue to do
it today because I feel it is important to give back to a nation which
has given so much to me. I do it because, although I will never be rich,
my family will be comfortable. I do it because many of my friends have
left for the airlines and someone has to do it. My government has spent
millions to train me to fly these
multi-million dollar aircrafts. I make about 70,000 dollars a year and
after 20 years will be offered a pension.I like baseball but think the
players make too much money. I am in awe of firemen and policemen and
what they do each day for my community, and like teachers, they just
don't get paid enough. I respect my elders and always use sir or ma'am
when addressing a stranger. I'm not sure about kids these days but I
think that's normal for every generation. I tell you all this because
when I come for you, I want you to know me. I won't be hiding behind a
woman or a child. I won't be disguised or pretending to be something I
am not. I will be in a U.S. issue flight suit. I will be wearing
standard US issue flight gear, and I will be flying a navy aircraft
clearly marked as a US warplane. I wish we could
meet up close in a small room where I could wrap my hands around your
throat and slowly squeeze the life out of you, but unfortunately, you're
hiding in a hole in the ground, so we will have to do this a different
way. I want you to know also that I am very good at what I do. I can
put a 2,000 lb weapon through a window from 10,000 feet up. I generally
only fly at night, so you may want to start sleeping during the day. I
am not eager to die for my country but I am willing to sacrifice my life
to protect it from animals like you. I will do everything in my power to
ensure no civilians are hurt as I take aim at you. My countrymen are a
forgiving bunch. Many are already forgetting what you did on Sept 11th.
But I will not forget!!
I am coming! I hope you know me a little bit better, see you
soon...sleep tight.

I support the troops and I am a republican. I voted for G.W. twice, BUT, I am really disappointed in how Iraq is turning out. All these good American boys are stuck over there fighting a never ending battle because we "thought" Sadam had WMD's. Turned out the politicians were wrong about that and now we are spreading freedom. So what's next, when we are done in Iraq(if we ever are) are we going to go on to the next country that is under control of a dictator and on to the next one after that. I think for the money we are spending over there to "spread freedom" we could have fixed a lot of problems right here in our own country. But instead we are putting our childrens children into debt to so that we can bring "freedom" to other country's when we can't even get our own straightened out. I am tired of the politics, from both sides. Every day we lose more American boys and millions and millions of dollars because we got bad info. Do any of you think we'd be there today if we'd known ahead of time they had no wmd's? I'd say no, but since the politicians were wrong suddenly it has changed to "spreading democracy" instead of finding wmd's. I predict in 25 or 30 years we will look at this just like we look at Vietnam today.

I support the troops.
They are following the orders of OUR comander in chief, and ploacing themselves in harms way. whether it is for 9-11, to stop a hitler-esqe tyrant or for the oil.
I know they are afraid, but they do it anyway....

Great post Blue, and BTW, I don't think Blue was trying to pass this off as "his son", I got this same email months ago and it is written from the perspective of the father. Blue simply copied and pasted it into the forums. I really don't think someone born in 85 would be ignorant enough to post something trying to make us all think he has a son in the military. Just my opinion though.

North Korea is a horrible place to be, Communist China?!! We can't buy Cubans, but we can buy $150.00 a week worth of cummunist goods from WalMart.
Lot's of Freedom to be spread, all over the face of the earth really. Thing is, since when is it OUR job to make te entire world have a government like ours?
