Ariens right? They look like nice machines, but I haven't met anybody that has one yet. Ariens mowers not big around here for some reason? I'm pretty sure I've never seen one in person. I gave up trying to find a commercial ZTR for what my budget was, and started looking at other options. Went and bought one of these bad boys today, 12.5 hp and 36" w/ a sulky, and best of all, 1/3 the price of a scabbed out commercial ZTR.

It's in great shape, runs like a top, and the cut is not to be believed. Looks like somebody measured each blade of grass with a micrometer and then snipped it.

I bought the Ariens because I'm tired of driving to the other side of town every time I need a part or service. This dealer is right down the street about 5 miles and is second generation family owned with the third generation working in the store now. You brought that Scag home, correct?

Evening All!

Just got back from our 5th Sunday sing at church. All I can say is WOW! About 7 different churches were represented. And through it all we had 10 groups sing and I was the sound guy! Talk about getting it set straight. Of course they were never the same. Had to mess with every mike to get it straight. Oh Well. I had a good time

Goodnight All!

Jon

Correct. I re-read my post, and it confused me. I found a used walk behind, that was 1/3 the price of either a new walk behind, or a beat up used commercial ZTR. Was thinking about some other brands, but the local Scag dealer is about 3/4 of a mile from my house, which will be handy when I need parts. It's taking some getting used to because I've never run anything like it, but I was learning pretty quick, and I think I'm in love. Plus, I should be able to get this one through most fence gates, which isn't possible with most of the ZTR's.

If I would have thought about it, Madhat, I would have had you go to one of your new recruits and get on his case a little extra. Lady at work just had her son graduate basics, but I didnt find out about it until she went to pick him up down there.

Sure has changed him for the better though. Do you guys wake up to that song, whats it called again? Darn trumpets blowing so loud, bout gives you a darn heart attack Revelie(sp)?

Makes you jump out of your skin before you get it on....

evening all....I think...kinda out of it.. we just got back from a whirlwind tour of Michigan and points NE of here.......

few highlights..1942 miles total( with detours), slightly under 49 hours, only 4 of them spent sleeping.................
Passed thru Mo, Ill, Indiana, Michigan, and Iowa...I think Indiana is the only one we didnt drive the complete width of, oh and Iowa, but we went across 2/3 of it..

FULLFILLED A LIFELONG FANTASY..... told a beautiful woman( the BOSS), there was somethign I wanted her to see.....when she first saw it she gasped, " my god, its sooo BIG!!!!!!!........and it only took Lake Michigan to make it happen!!!! I swear that is a totally TRUE story

Go to meet our esteemed custodial engineer Chaikwa, and came away very impressed... For those who have never met Scott, and wondered, his on-line persona does NOT do him justice!! Wish we could have stayed longer..
The BOSS says to let you know she enjoyed meeting you and thinks Jake is too cool... now she wants one just like him( and NO was and still is the answer)...

Made it to the far NE corner of Michigan and picked up the trailer, headed back and coming thru construction on Hwy 94, go tturned around and wound up on 96.....Didnt realize it untill we were driving circles around downtown Grand Rapids at 0200 hours this morning!!

Took another hour to find the way back! What kind of emotionally unstable illegitamate offspring of a mange-ridden Basset Hound designed those detours!!! the sadist!!

The truck did great, untill abotu 100 miles from teh house... whole list if issues to deal with now..

Oh, Passed a white 2nd Gen 3500 with "Cowboy Custom Transports" on the side of it in Illinois just west of Jolliet...
Isnt that a member here???

Well, I havent eaten since lunch with Scott on Sat, and havent showered for longer, the BOSS is telling me to get cleaned up...gee, all that time in teh truck with me and she isnt used to it yet????

Pistol, I want a full report and a C.A.R.E. package of any leftovers.........

Better go, yall take care!

Hello fellow ctd owners. Hope your weekend was a good one.

Trad here is a pic of me and our dog, I'm ready for anything you see fit to dish out. I think you owe me one or two Dogs name is lucy and she is a Jack Russel.

I thought I'd bring a special treat to the breakroom for Monday AM Cinnamon buns smothered with cream cheese icing. hope you all enjoy. Yes there is a SMALL piece missing, had to do a test to see if they were up to DTR standards.

Hat 11 weeks will fly by and you'll wonder where it went. How can they just quit?

JWBM balance is a good thing, thats what everyone should try and have.
