Paint on 1977 T/A

I'm restoring my 77 TA again...The car is going right back to factory stock right down to the 8 track and AM radio. The thing that is really driving me crazy is, should I paint the car its orginal color or should I paint it black. The black looks good but I'm not sure of the brentwood brown.Don't know if a color change will affect its value...The car is number matching with black interior.So....go with orginal color or change it to black?Pic at right is orginal color

Your two cents is very inportant...That is the input I need. The brentwood brown, what I have read is a rare color...Could be because black was the in thing....

If you are restoring it to original and the#s still match might as well make the paint original as well.

There's a bazillion "Smokey And The Bandit" wannabe TAs out there.

I'd keep it original.........but that's just MNSHO.

You could go with James Garner Gold. I'd lean towards original, but I've always liked the black ones, even before the movie came out.

with all matching numbers.... got to go brown.
If it was a parts car with no matching number, I would go black with black spoke (nascar look) rims.

I would keep it original. Have you priced the stickers for car yet? I know they use to be pretty pricey years back.

Glad to see other TA fans out there. They don't get the recognition of thier Z28 brothers.

Go original. The brown is a rare color and I think it pretty sharp.

I have to brag on my baby.....Paint on 1977 T/A-1973.jpg
