Oops... Shouldn't have backed into the wet yard...
Went back to the old house today to pick up some stuff... figured that since it has been dry for about 5 months 2 days of rain wouldn't have done much to the ground, so I went ahead and backed up into the yard to make some stuff easier to load.
About 6 feet off the concrete driveway, noticed the rear end sinking. Put it in drive, broke the duals loose and since I stupidly left it in Drive, I had hit second gear but was moving forward at an incredibly slow pace... got to about half a foot in front of the concrete, and made no more progress.
Got out, looked at how bad it was, then got back in the truck, backed up about a foot, locked it in 1st gear, put one foot on the brake and brought it up to about 1100RPM, then let the brake go and... let 'er rip LOL.
BARELY made it out.... I didn't let off until I was SURE I was out, so I ended up cleaning about 20 years of ground in dirt off of the concrete driveway LOL.
Thankfully it kept on raining so the truck cleaned itself off on the way home. Sadly I don't think the yard will clean itself up .
Oh well, lesson learned. Keep a 2WD Dodge/Cummins ON THE SOLID GROUND.

smooth move...stay off my yard!
everytime i would pull my boat out, i tore the grass up bad!! the ramp was the easy part, the grassy hill i had to climb required 4 wheel drive most of the time...it was a pain!

Looks what the edit neighbors did to my place a few days ago. They are making a sidewalk to stairs for the house. Tore down my fence and backed the cement truck across my yard to get to their place!
I come home with huge ruts across the yard. I went over there and about broke the door down. Been 2 days and my yard still isn't fixed.
I'm talking to him 1 more time and then the law is getting involved!
