One ticked off Canada goose.....

I woulda made dinner out of this bird, being protected probably the only thing that saved it. Crazy. I like the guys ninja like reflexes....

where were they that the goose was protected? or did you mean out of season?

my dog would have pinned it to the ground then tried to play with it (a young golden retriever who thinks everything is his friend, AWESOME duck hunter though oddly enough)

I was always lead to believe that they were off limits to hunting. Maybe I'm wrong, but never heard of anyone hunting those things. Wish they would though, Canada geese are everywhere, the small grass field in the marina where I tie up my boat has them almost everyday of the year.

Here in the midwest goose hunting is almost as big of a pastime as dear hunting.

yeah, those things are fair game during their season...I dont know what the deal is on the east coast, but as stated above, its HUGE in the midwest to hunt those things.

I know back home in AK they had to open a special season, to try and thin out the flocks near the airports because they kept hitting planes and hangin out on the runways. the airport officials used to run around and blast an air horn whenever they could, it was some funny stuff.

The dog was a PANSY!!!! My pups wouldv'e demolished that bird if it was attacking them, not whimper.
