I'm showing all up to date except acrobat reader, and when I click where it says to to update it, acrobat doesn't show up.
I can tell you what it is... DIRT! When I was a kid, I ate dirt. I played in dirt. I rolled in dirt. I was covered in dirt 99% of the time! And I'm not allergic to anything. Parents today get upset if their kid so much as kneels on the asphalt for fear of getting his pants dirty. Kids aren't developing any immunity to anything because they're not being exposed to anything. And when they ARE exposed to anything, they're made to wash their hands with antibacterial handwash right away. They don't build up any resistance to anything except antibiotics because that's all they're exposed to, in the soap they have to wash their hands with every 5 minutes, in the meat they eat, then at the doctors office they get a direct injection of the stuff as soon as they get a sniffle. If I had a kid the first thing I'd do is throw him in the swamp and let him get a little exposure to stuff! As far as vaccinations go, I'm all for the standard stuff kids get in their very early years, stuff they've been getting for eons and is known to be relatively safe. All this new stuff like flu and pneumonia vaccines... not so much.
Now now now, that the cure! And you know we can't find a cure til after we've spent billions trying to find the cause, which is never gonna be found 'cause that would shut off the money that the researchers are making a comfortable living on. How dare you!!!

Boss sold a bunch of hay. There's been trucks going by most of the morning. They really want it moved, even turnpike doubles going by loaded.

Thinking of going for a ride, but the wind would probably flip the amigo off the road if it hits me the wrong way.

Well of dirt is the preventive Medicean then my kids will never catch anything. My daughter makes the boys look clean at the end of a day.

Between the atv rides working in the garden pulling weeds and playing its a merical I have any dirt left in my yard to grow grass

Scotfarmer sit in the middle of the amigo. It'll be counter balanced.
Besides, how do you fit in an amigo? I'd have to slick down with some butter.

Speaking of dirt what about the kids that ate their own snot? Reports out there say they get sick less too.

I played in more than dirt. After my uncle cleaned the barns there'd be just enough "stuff" left on the concrete to make it slick, we'd ride our bikes in and skid in it. Then there was the foot of slop behind the barn that I'd play in with the 3-wheeler. Our "sandbox" was 6 yards of sand dumped out on the ground. Usually replenished yearly. Sister and cousins and I would argue over what Tonka toys we were supposed to use for building different things in said sand.

I could try to sit in the middle of the amigo but I think the console and the manual shifter could make it uncomfortable. It is almost more comfortable to sit in than the truck. Just needs another 3-4 inches between the seat and the pedals. I wouldn't want to sit in the back seat with the top on. I wouldn't want to have to get into the back seat with the top on.

Why is it that the only bikini car washes I ever came across when I was in need of a car wash, were staffed by girls young enough to make me feel like a perv for just thinkin "HEY bikin"

How true. Last Sept in Oregon as a favor I went to pick up my 9th grade niece.
Wanna feel like a perv? Sit unshaven, outside a junior high school, in a truck with out of state plates,
staring intently at the girls trying to pick your niece out of the crowds.
Oh, and half the girls dress like they are trying to get a job at an escort service.

After the last few days you guys had you are allowed a forecast or two.
Sure hope your wife will be able to enjoy her vacation. Sounds like she could use it.

You recently had good news.
No forecasts for you.
Hey, I don't make the rules.

You are probably right. Living in an antiseptic environment probably allows a kid to become used to antibiotics
but makes it so they can't even walk in grass without getting an allergic reaction.

We talked about the toilets in China but never did discuss showers.
Is it normal to take a shower daily? Do they have shower/bath units like we are used to?
Has anybody checked to see if it is cheaper to outsource our showers and can they do as good a job?

Awhile back Lary and I were talking about how The Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) program does a pretty good job of updating all that stuff.
Don't know is he still uses it but I am still having good luck with it.

That's why my unvaccinated kids were always so healthy.

I always said if God didn't mean for kids to get dirty, why did he build them so close to the ground.

One girl lost traction running full tilt and slid into a pile of scrap lumber, piercing her knee deeply with a rusty nail. Took her to the clinic, where they basically said they couldn't do much with it but watch it heal but she "must" get a tetanus shot. Nurse bragged that the shot was going to hurt more when it properly reacts than the original wound.

The shot amounted to a pin ***** as far as healing goes. She didn't need it. She was immune just from her environment.

wow fronty, sleep much? line 63, 17th digit is incorrect.

luminary went to about 300 ft and out across the valley before the cold air snuffed it. we enjoy the nice color and crazy direction changes as hot meets cold. also glad the apache pilots have finished their training. they do under the radar flying topographically in the 'uninhabited' forests.
not good to be in the outdoor hot tub with a glowing rose. they hover really well when they check out that heat base. (chem lab). now you know why it is in the basement.....

stan, wow. lots of hugs to you and your wife. hope she can calm down for the trip. I would like a red ruby please. lol

NE glad you are getting healthy. Bark, glad you are getting treatment, lol.

travelling I saw 'the country ewe' store and sheep dip liquor. brought me right back to DTR..........have to get something for the janitoradmin.

Not really.
Oh, and half the girls dress like they are trying to get a job at an escort service
Wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for that part. Picked up my stepsister and her friend from school a few times before I moved west. But I didn't have out-of-state plates.
300 ft of chain, tow strap, log cable, hand winch, shovel and a lot of effort.
Sounds like the father of the hired hand we had when we milked cows. Dry summer, he decided to brushhog his swamp with his International 240. When it got stuck he called the neighbor to pull him out. When it got stuck they got another tractor. When it got stuck they called another neighbor. Had nearly 300 horse stuck trying to pull out this little 30 HP tractor and 5 ft brushhog out of the swamp. Nothing else left to pull with, so his wife fired up her Scout and pulled them all out with it.

Late evening people. Woke up, the refrigerator was calling my name.
I actually ate an apple instead of the pizza. Maybe I never really woke up.

-Wish I could have seen this one.
-When we had the weird weather last month some guys put two of the 30' Bubba ropes together to
barely reach a newer Jeep Cherokee that had sailed down the ditch and into the woods on the spur hwy.
-Borough grader was hooked to it, really stretched the rope and when it finally let go
it apparently went airborn enough to wind up in the road on its side.

Made me look. Realized if it doesn't involve bacon, it doesn't really matter.

Who the heck gets up in the middle of the night for an apple? Middle of the night snacks HAVE to be cake, pie, ice cream or pizza. It's a law, look it up!

Here's something for all of you to ponder, especially Bark; a lot of those little smilies that we all use here are continually moving. For example, the laughing smiley is always laughing. Or IS it? Are they like a refrigerator light and they stop moving when someone isn't looking at them?

Morning all.

It is Wednesday, February 19th.

1807 - Former U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr was arrested in Alabama. He was later tried and acquitted on charges of treason.

1846 - The formal transfer of government between Texas and the United States took place. Texas had officially become a state on December 29, 1845.

1878 - Thomas Alva Edison patented a music player (the phonograph).

1881 - Kansas became the first state to prohibit all alcoholic beverages.

1942 - U.S. President Roosevelt signed an executive order giving the military the authority to relocate and intern Japanese-Americans.

1942 - Approximately 150 Japanese warplanes attacked the Australian city of Darwin.

1945 - During World War II, about 30,000 U.S. Marines landed on Iwo Jima.

1963 - The Soviet Union informed U.S. President Kennedy it would withdraw "several thousand" of its troops in Cuba.

1981 - Ford Motor Company announced its loss of $1.5 billion.

1985 - William Schroeder became the first artificial-heart patient to leave the confines of the hospital.

1985 - Cherry Coke was introduced by the Coca-Cola Company.

1986 - The U.S. Senate approved a treaty outlawing genocide. The pact had been submitted 37 years earlier for ratification.

1986 - The Soviet Union launched the Mir space station.

1987 - A controversial, anti-smoking publice service announcement aired for the first time on television. Yul Brynner filmed the ad shortly before dying of lung cancer. Brynner made it clear in the ad that he would have died from cigarette smoking before ad aired.

2002 - NASA's Mars Odyssey spacecraft began using its thermal emission imaging system to map Mars.

2004 - Former Enron Corp. chief executive Jeffrey Skilling was charged with fraud, insider trading and other crimes in connection with the energy trader's collapse. Skilling was later convicted and sentenced to more than 24 years in prison.

2005 - The USS Jimmy Carter was commissioned at Groton, CT. It was the last of the Seawolf class of attack submarines.

2008 - Fidel Castro resigned the Cuban presidency. His brother Raul was later named as his successor.

Today's thought:
We can throw stones, complain about them, stumble on them, climb over them, or build with them.

C0ffee & ph00 are ready.

Thank whoever you pray to for the successful treatment of B0b's little grandaughter. Prayer and positive thought obviously works, let's keep her in our thoughts and prayers as she continues with her recovery!

Hey, I don't make the rules.

We talked about the toilets in China but never did discuss showers.
Is it normal to take a shower daily? Do they have shower/bath units like we are used to?
Has anybody checked to see if it is cheaper to outsource our showers and can they do as good a job?
So, if I am to understand this correctly, one is required to become the recipient of bad news before being allowed to make a post about gorgeous weather. That smacks of favoritism!

Where I stayed in China it was in a 5 star hotel that catered to foreigners, so consequently the toilets in the hotel were western style sitting toilets. At work we had the Asian style squatting toilets which I detest. Has a great shower with unending hot, high pressure water. It was large enough to fit 3 people inside, or one DTR sized guy. The rest of the bathroom was very nice too with a full sized tub and a hand held shower.

Heidi, only a red ruby? Most folks want diamonds or gold from that part of the world. I will look around for you and maybe buy one, but are you not committing a form of murder if I do buy a nice red ruby for you? After all, if I buy something like that for another woman, wouldn't my wife murder me? That makes you the accomplice.
