Posterior microdiscectomy of the C6-7 joint. I feel like I got to be the chain in a pulling contest but at least I can feel my fingers again.

Just got back from Easter dinner at Mom/ Grandpa's place. I'm stuffed. Gonna take the kids for a bike ride while Mama and I walk it off.

Dang it, boy. Hope that works out for you.

Evenin. Got to take one of my kids out on his first dirt bike ride... he had a blast, and so did I! It was just a little 50, but he loved it!

Morning.

It's Monday, April 25th.

On this day in 1792 - The guillotine was first used to execute highwayman Nicolas J. Pelletier.

1831 - The New York and Harlem Railway was incorporated in New York City.

1846 - The Mexican-American War ignited as a result of disputes over claims to Texas boundaries. The outcome of the war fixed Texas' southern boundary at the Rio Grande River.

1862 - Union Admiral Farragut occupied New Orleans, LA.

1864 - After facing defeat in the Red River Campaign, Union General Nathaniel Bank returned to Alexandria, LA.

1898 - The U.S. declared war on Spain. Spain had declared war on the U.S. the day before.

1901 - New York became the first state to require license plates for cars. The fee was $1.

1945 - U.S. and Soviet forces met at Torgau, Germany on Elbe River.

1945 - Delegates from about 50 countries met in San Francisco to organize the United Nations.

1952 - After a three-day fight against Chinese Communist Forces, the Gloucestershire Regiment was annihilated on "Gloucester Hill," in Korea.

1959 - St. Lawrence Seaway opened to shipping. The water way connects the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean.

1961 - Robert Noyce was granted a patent for the integrated circuit.

1980 - In Iran, a commando mission to rescue hostages was aborted after mechanical problems disabled three of the eight helicopters involved. During the evacuation, a helicopter and a transport plan collided and exploded. Eight U.S. servicemen were killed. The mission was aimed at freeing American hostages that had been taken at the U.S. embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979.

1983 - Soviet leader Yuri V. Andropov invited Samantha Smith to visit his country after receiving a letter in which the U.S. schoolgirl expressed fears about nuclear war.

1983 - The Pioneer 10 spacecraft crossed Pluto's orbit, speeding on its endless voyage through the Milky Way.

1990 - The U.S. Hubble Space Telescope was placed into Earth's orbit. It was released by the space shuttle Discovery.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If the folks at the psychic hotlines were really psychic, wouldn't they call you first?

Coffee & ph00.

Not looking good for this week. Watching the weather from yesterday and tornadoes are on the menu for us again this week. Texas and Arkansas and Missouri were catching it last night, softball sized hail is something I'd only like to see on the tube.

I hope all of you had the best Easter you could.

Mornin, all,

Coffee to get me started.
Mexstan, enjoy Katy TX, weather not bad yet, wait 'till summer comes, wheew it get hot and muggggggeeeeee. I am about 6 miles north of Katy off Fry rd.
Good steak houses on I-10 near the beltway.

Ofcmarc. a speedy recovery for you.

Hat good pix of you enjoying a cool one.

Chiakwa, like you expanation of marcs neck decorations. Also I read the it happened this day that you post. I am one of those who stops to read the trivia markers along the road of life.

Fronty, Hope Houston gets some rain, it has been a long time. Just rain not all the bad things that can come with a big storm.

Prudent student worked hard to get her school work up to date so she could spend Easter on Galveston Island with her extended family. Egg hunt for the kiddletts. She enjoyed the weekend there. She is out to door and off to work now.

I was with my sister over the weekend, helping her with arrangements for the memorial service for her son next Saturday. He lived with her and was a big help. He will be missed by all of us.

Time to get reddy to do lunch laddie duties.

Have a good un, and be safe out there.

Davey

Expect to be on Fry road later today, but it will be a flying visit. If Katy gets hot, what do you call the weather here the last few days? I am not used to this hot and humid weather.
Leaving here on Wednesday and moving closer to the border and crossing back into Mexico on Saturday and then back to Paradise.

Morning to the rest of you wherever you may be and in whatever shape or condition you may be in. Hope you survive the day.

I had the unpleasant experience of Grapefruit sized hail in SD back in 01? hmmm maybe it was 02 or 03. LOL on my way home from the Claremont get together. That was crazy. We got into a hotel at 6 pm. Stretched out on the bed and at 6:15 the siren outside was going and the emergency weather alert on the TV started. I looked out the window and watched a lady locking up a store across the road. As she locked up a large mass smashed through the glass above the door. It was a hail stone...the size of a grapefruit. Several more of those hit the road and the buildings.
The town of Manchester was wiped off the map. Literally. I still see the chaser video of that F5 i=on Discovery and other channels. I watched that happen. Scary stuff.

Be safe. Its looking to be a bad weather year.

Still got lots of flooding and rising waters on the prairies. Some is supposed to crest in 3-5 days. Some lakes are rising 10 cm overnight now. Most of the valley communities and areas are under several feet of water.

I alturd the turd, I mean Phew, pho0o0 so that it will tickle your innards.

Here's where they went in.....

Superglue to hold it together...... So far so good.
So are you now a "host"? Have you noticed your eyes glowing?

Off today sitting around. Might hit the store and see if there are any left over peeps. Not much else to do in the rain.
