Morning all.
Happy Easter!
Today is Sunday, April 24th.
On this day in 1800 - The Library of Congress was established with a $5,000 allocation.
1805 - The U.S. Marines attacked and captured the town of Derna in Tripoli.
1877 - In the U.S., federal troops were ordered out of New Orleans. This was the end to the North's post-Civil War rule in the South.
1898 - Spain declared war on the U.S., rejecting America's ultimatum for Spain to withdraw from Cuba.
1915 - During World War I, the Ottoman Turkish Empire began the mass deportation of Armenians.
1944 - The first B-29 arrived in China, over the Hump of the Himalayas.
1961 - U.S. President Kennedy accepted "sole responsibility" following Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.
1981 - The IBM Personal Computer was introduced.
1988 - Off the Florida coast, a fire broke out on the submarine USS Bonefish. Three sailors were killed and twenty-two were injured.
2003 - A U.S. official reported the North Korea had claimed to have nuclear weapons.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
Coffee & ph00 is ready.

Mornin, DTR friends. Happy Easter!
Just got back from Vegas, good times. Didn't really do anything, heck, I didn't even go down the strip. I did find a nice Irish pub, tho, and that's where I spent most of my off time...

Happy Easter!
Slept in my own bed last night for once and it felt great. Almost 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep..... Very nice.
Here's where they went in.....
Superglue to hold it together...... So far so good.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Afternoon. Not been around for a few days, so did I miss anything? Wait, let me rephrase that - did I miss anything worthwhile?
Noticed the word "old" in the title and nearly did not post as I do not want to be associated with anything old. I am not old, so ..........
Marc, that looks horrible. Whatever it is/was, hope you recover fully and fast. Get your wife to scrub it down with some diesel.
Still in the Houston (Katy)area. Will be here for maybe another 3 days. Went to the largest church in America for the Sunday Easter service. WOW! Awesome! Asked my wife afterwards what she thought about it and she said that she was speechless and overwhelmed, so needed some time to process what she saw and heard. Everybody should go to at least one service there just for the experience.
The wind is still blowing like crazy here. For that reason alone, will be glad to get back home to Paradise. Not even going to mention the heat and the humidity.
Trying to keep the miles down in the truck due to the high fuel costs, but so far have driven over 2,000 miles since leaving home on April 1.

They are now talking of INCHES of rain per hour for the next few HOURS!
Just got a dusting of 1/4 to 1/2 inch hail. just enough to cover the ground.
