Ok its time to brag a little
Hey everyone. I have to brag a little. My son was born on Jan 15th at 752 am. He was 6 lbs 9 oz and 18" long. He gave everyone a little scare. He was 5 weeks early. He was due on Feb 15th and they had scheduled a C-section on Feb 8th to make sure nothing happened. Well on the morning of the 15th at 4am my wifes water broke. We had just had a heavy ice/snow storm and the roads were very slick. We were supposed to drive an 1 1/2 away but they called as we were leaving and told us to go to a closer hospital. Thank god. It took us 45 mins to drive 15 miles. Well then he arrives. He was in ICU for 4 days then we go home. 2 days later we find out he tested positive for a hormone problem that could've been life threatening. They also said that premie babies have a high false positive test rate. So we went through no knowing what was gonna happen. We go back to the doctor and found out Feb 2nd that it was a false positive test so he is fine. The last couple of weeks have been crazy. He is our 2nd child. We have a 4 yr old little girl. They are pictured together the day he was born below. Sorry for the long post. We are just so thankful and proud of him and everything we have been given. I will say though while in ICU with him we realized that we are so lucky and things could've been so much worse than they were. There were other babies in there that the parents couldn't hold or even see at all. It was an eye opening experience. It makes you realize how lucky we all really are.

Let me say becoming a father is the greatest feeling in the world. I wasn't sure how I would feel before my daughter was born. But once she arrived there was only one thing I knew. I cannot imagine ever feeling more proud than the moment your children are born.
