Odd #2 Diesel Question

I got my oil tank filled a few days ago and they used #2 deisel,I was wondering if adding the same type of additive that I use in my truck would help keep it clean, meaning the nozzels in the funance.

It won't hurt. I use Power Service in our tank to keep it from gelling.

I know amsoil makes an additive to put in your tank to help with burning and to clean everything up

I've put Stanadyne in mine to prevent gelling in the spring when the tank gets low. No problems.

Nozzles dont usually get plugged by normal operatation they do plug with depris so a good filter is realy all that is needed and a New Nozzle takes 5 minutes to change out at a cost of about 5 bucks anyway. The only thing I add to the oil is a water treatment . My tank is inside so I dont worry about freezing lines just dont want the tank to rust with water at the bottom

Chipmonk Home heating oil is 2.619 COD here from the discount delivery services-no Techs (Term used Loosely) To repair or maintain the furnace.
