no power and rocks like a boat.....

so after work today we(my dad, brother, and I) started to cut winters fire wood. I figured since we would be cutting we need a place to put it, with my brite ideas i fried up the cummins. I never thought that my dad would put this much weight on her. She didn't have a problem handling it. The bump stops maxed out and the springs were flexed the worng way but she loved it. First time in her life that she has been worked. here are some pics

any of you load up your trucks this much?

Aughta see one with 6 round bales on it. Or, 25 red pine logs. Front end can be a little squirrelly but the engine didn't care.

im guessing that your wood weighed around 8000 pounds. lol i aint got no pics but ive got you beat. ive put 3 PALLETS of shingles on the back of mine. 3 bundles per square at 75 lbs per bundel, times 50 squares = 11,250 pounds. over 5 and 1/2 ton. Ive had all the wood i could stack on it, which is as almost as much as you have on yours, and i could never get it to the stopblocks. But by the 2nd pallet, i had her on the blocks. then we put the 3rd on the back it was quite the load

Reminds me of a red 2nd gen dually I saw come idling into a Texas fuel stop pulling a 30 ft gooseneck with 10 25 ft long trees and a flat on rear trailer dual . These Cummins are just unbelievable what you can pull with them is amazing .

I had 90 cases of bottled beer in mine .... don't ... really ... recall what the ride felt like although all the pedestrians must've been impressed ... they almost waved their arms off at me once they climbed back out of the mangroves.
Must be a "Local's Thing" to wave with only one finger

your very right, they dont stop! I decided insted of unloading all of the logs i would back up as fast as i could and slam on the brakes! Sounded like a good idea in my head. So I pulled down my driveway a little bit then pinned it and locked up the brakes, just a few came off. So again i try but going further down the driveway. She was burried in reverse going up a little hill, and again i slamed the brakes but this time they didn't lock up. They just went to the floor. lucky enough one of the logs from before stoped me before i ran into the house. Still no brakes, I haven't climed under the truck to see what i blew up. I hope it was just a rusted out brake line.
