Re:nifty picture...
Actually I think it is the XM2001 Crusader. The M60's and M1's all have 6 road wheels. The XM2001 and the German Leopard series all have 7 road wheels.
The projectile appears to be more of a conventional round. The 120mm and 140mm Rheinmetall guns are smoothbore firing sabot.
Keeping in line with the site, it's powered by a diesel.

Rumsfield...........the twinkie twin of McNamara.
Me thinks that when he was a Ltjg, some Army dude stole his girlfriend. He's sure doing his best to do away with the Guard.

Re:nifty picture...
I am sorry to see Crusader go as well. My group did some work on it.
Here is a picture of the program I was on, Extended Range Guided Munition (ERGM). It is a naval gun launched guided projectile. I did the power supply for the latest go-round.

.357 doesn't have anything on that as far as muzzle flash

Comes close if I load the .357 . ;D Made the misstake of firing One round that I had loaded for my rifle in the pistol. Big flash, big bang, big kick, wont do that again .
