Looks like Airbus and EADS got the contract. This is going to produce a lot of jobs in the south, Alabama. I thought Boeing would have walked away with it but had the feeling Airbus would get it. That should stimulate the economy in the next few years.

I am originally from Mobile & they have a [U]lot[U] of infrastructure to put into place in order to support the needed workforce. I own an aviation related repair business not to far from there & hopefully it will provide me with an employee pool when people get tired of working for the French....

Well, the only french thing about this thing is the airframe. But I hope all the Americans in the great south have a benefit from this deal in the long run. But being a Boom operator I'm kinda sad that Boeing didn't get the contract. But anyway let me know how you southerners do from this 30 billion dollar deal.
