I am stationed in NC, and I always get crap from people because they say texans are so proud of their state and always talk about it. But I am proud to be a TEXAN! I beleive it is the best state, and thats for sure. Havent heard that one yet, but I am excited to hear it.

Don't forget that the annexation of Texas is rather unique in US history; Texas is the only state that was an independent country and entered the Union as a mutually beneficial agreement.

Of course, since ya'll are from Texas I don't think I need to go too far into detail with that bit of history...

I had an Okie tell me that I should go look that up, because Texas being an Indipendent Nation was the biggest load of crap he had ever heard.

I am in no way trying to compare the two so go easy on me; but what about Cali, it was also claimed to be an independent republic with it's own individual territories and central gov before becomming a state.
God Bless Tejas, please don't tear me a new one. I came to WA from Wichita Falls in 86 so I remember how ya'll can get.

P.S. to bad it was a Bud comercial and not a decent beer.
