Mmmmm, Scotty, Did you age them yourself?
I have followed Alton Brown's guide to dry-aging steak and had fairly good results with it (I can tell the difference but have read that others say they cant).
Not nearly as good as long term professional aging but not bad for at home.

Shooting at junk cars is how I got a metal jacket in my arm. But we were wearing eye protection for all the good that would have done.
Its a wonder any of us live to be 21.

Yeah. I realize it is hard to light stuff with a cig or cigar but it does happen.
Years back I had filled a 5 gal propane tank and had it in the back of the Datsun S/W. It decided to start rapidly venting right after I had lit a cig.
The car was still moving when I bailed out.

Language?
Mmmmeat was awesome and so was the corn. My girls where here to assist with the ingestion.
Bark, not home aged. Store bought at a place that normally has 28-34 day aged/hung beef before its cut. You have to know the owner, treat him with other foods and then you get the good stuff.
I tried some 50 day beef. It wasn't for me. It seemed like it wasn't even steak anymore.

Almost forgot. My daughterand I went fishing today. Caught nothing but a wasp sting on the back of my left LEGG. Good thing most of the nerves are dead or numb in that legg. Never noticed any reaction til we got home. Steak fixed it.

Steak fixes just about everything.

I have been slowly learning that Ya gotta splurge on some good stuff every once in awhile.
Life is too short. I think I will pick up a couple of "good" steaks in the near future.
We aren't having anything special tonight but next week we get together with a few people for a Filipino/Chinese food fest.

Went into NAPA today, we pulled out the book, and the only "kit" we could find for my truck was the 6 manifold gaskets, so I have no idea where that guy on the phone yesterday found the kit with the turbo gasket. Right after hanging up I thought "should have had him pull it off the shelf and put it with my ball joint", guess I should have called right back.

I just ordered the 3-piece turbo gasket set offa evilpay. Hopefully the weather isn't too hot or rainy next weekend and I can get the truck together.

Wish I had the cash for new coil springs. Maybe next spring I can get springs and control arms. There's no way the left ones are going to survive another changing of the ball joints. Red Power Round-up (tractor show) is about 7 hours away the next two years and I am really hoping to get to them.

Facebook friend from Sturgis, MI, says their leaves are starting to turn already. Hope winter don't get here that early. We need heat to get the corn and beans going. Got the water they need, just need them to finish filling out and dry out.

Scotty, sorry to hear all you caught was a be sting. But I completely get the 'glad it was my bum body part' I see random scrapes and injuries to my left arm or the non-pain receptive areas on my right LEGG and think "Oh, wonder what that was?" Also, I can punt a football barefooted now.

Yeah sometimes carnage of the carcass has its bonuses in spite of the impairments.
I can relate to the wondering about what I crunched or bashed at days end. lol

Gee - - 11:30 and no one put on the coffee or the ph00. What is going on around here? Ok, I did it - - - AGAIN. Not my job - - where is that janitor - - - AGAIN? Probably out playing with that big hung of metal stuff.

Hey, I need help - - I searched all over in posts for comments on dashboard covers. I am not going to "relplace" the dash, just a cover. Nothing really fit the bill. Any suggestions? This Florida sun has gotten the best of mine in spite of using windshield guards - - baby still has to sit out in the sun.

OK, ph00 is down - - grabbing mine. Gone.

Bob

Last time I tried to punt a football I was trying to kick it over my brothers house.
My shoe came off and landed on top of the house and the football hit my mother in law. She never really liked me anyway.

Problem I have with my LEGG since the crunch is that I wear out my left shoe way before the other.

Funny. Over the last 10 years I have gotten rid of some stuff that I thought I would kick myself when it was gone. Hasn't been the case.
I miss some of it sometimes (57 Buick Special I had since HS and street bikes especially) but it hasn't been as bad as I thought.
Like Jackie Paper, making way for different toys I guess.

Still raining here. Havent been outside yet.

Bark!!!

Evening all. The rain finally quit long enough for the driveway to actually dry off so I'm back to work on the Intrepid today. Progress is slow but after I moved the pulley and hose connections again to another pump I got bolted back to the engine and about half the connections made up. Between the fading light and the mosquitoes I decided to call it a day. Hopefully tomorrow will finish the pump then it's on to the inner tie rod ends. Somebody shoot me please!
