Need to get ahold of some old friends in Ireland.
Got a call from my nephew today, he and his buddy from MSG in Iraq planned a trip long ago, and they decided to go sooner rather than later. Good call on his part.
Anyway, I had (have) a couple of friends in the old country, haven't talked with them in a long time, Joe wanted to look em up when he got there. Searched the net, facebook, yadda yadda, can't find them anywhere...
Any ideas on how to find them??? I can't even find their old address. Man what a schmuck I've been, it has been 10 years since I talked to them!!!
I hope they still want to talk to me

Yeah, I dont know either. However, had a friend that I hadnt heard from in over 35 years who managed to get my mailing address (P.O. box) from the online records at the land office for the Borough.
He said he figured I was still in AK and just started looking at land records for different areas. When he found some parcels in my name he wrote a letter to the billing address and it got to me (i had a bogus phone number on the tax records).
In a way its kind of irritating
. Until a few years ago you had to personally go into the land office to search. Now, anybody in the world can look up that info.
Anyway, if they are property owners maybe the area they live in has the records on line (probably not in Ireland).

Have you tried Student Loan Collectors? Those people can find anyone, anywhere! Have you tried censusfinder.com?

if you knew the county they lived in, a general mail post can be sent with your info for a contact.
if not: or if you have internet phone place a call to a hotel, explain what you are looking for and they will round a name for you (search the local phone book). got to be in the area you last knew they were as last names are local.
