well we just got a new washer, that $1000 whirlpool front loader from Lowes. I don't have a problem with it, since it saves water and electricity, clothes nearly come out dry after that supersonic spin cycle.
She's let me get it if I hadn't just gotten an SRT-10 hood.

I also have mine sitting in the back room waiting to go into the garage once it is remodeled.
I paid about $650 at Costco a few months back, don't know if they have them locally anymore.
