My Highschools powerlifting.

My Highschools powerlifting.
I would like to just give some of my close friends some recongization for their efforts, and acomplishments.
And I would like to see if anyone else competes in HS, or any other level of powerlifting.
Here are some pictures, I'll post more soon.
This is my real good friend of mine who is a Senior this year.
This kid is big on pulling tractors, him and his dad has many IH's (He bleeds RED) and they also have a moline (sp). He did not start lifting until he was a sophmore. He was big at the time from lifting weights for pulling, and working on the farm, but he got HUGE powerlifting.
Just curious if anyone else is into this, if so what are your lifts?

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Tell him he has a CONGRATS from me!! That is very impressive. I did a lot of lifting in high school and for a while after but never competed.

back in high school i did alot training for football. never had any serious competitions tho. we did have the 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800 lbs clubs tho for those 3 lifts.
my all time bests were 375lbs bench, 620lbs squat, and an 820lbs deadlift (this was not the straight bar tho, this was the hex bar you stand inside with your arms straight down at your sides, and using wrist straps)

Awesome dude! Thats a heck of alotta wieght! I'm a lightwieght here, my senior year I never did "powerlifting" competitions but I trained under the powerlifting coach's techinque and guidance etc... I weighed 165 and put up 305 on bench and I think ?405? on squat. Now I still workout alot and right before I took 2 months off for Christmas time I was throwing 275 up on bench for a heavy set of 5 without ANY spotter help, I think I could have done 330-345 then, thats when I weighed 178-181lbs. I really don't do many squats anymore because it's hard to find a spotter that knows what there doing when you need one...

I used to powerlift in High school until I blew my knee out squating. I was warming up with 295 and it felt light and then it popped and my competition aspirations were over.
I did become a state certified refree and helped coach my high school too two consecutive national titles. I love this sport, but I work to much. I can't afford anymore surgeries, after knee, shoulder, and hand surgery in 22 months.
Best before injuries: 330 squat, 255 bench, 385 deadlift no suits.
