The chev will be fine. An old guy driving an old guy truck. A GMC (chev too ugly) would be my second choice of the big three. Never a 6.0 snord.

I wish him the best with it. The D max really is`nt that bad of a truck, I have a friend who has an 05 crew dually. It`s a very nice riding truck, quiet etc. At least he did`nt buy a PSD!

Sounds like a nice truck. When I went looking for different truck this past summer I was looking at used Chevy's & Dodge's with Diesel. I never could find a Chevy that I could afford or wasn't already over 100,000 miles. SO DOdge was my choice and I am happy with it, I'll admit that I grew up Chevy and really like the ride and interior and the lower height. Hope he enjoys it.

I'm not so sure he'd like being called "old". He'll be 51 in March. Sure, that's old to me but compared to some of the old codgers on this board he's still wet behind the ears.

I plan to take it for a spin the next time I go down to their place. I'm not sure when that will be though.

now i dont blame him if he dont want to... Its his choice.. but when he was young he had all his trucks on 40 inch gumbo monsters and lifted.. wonder what happened now....

When I worked with Iron the Connectors climbed and the rest of the cronies did the "*****" work. bolting up, deck work, safety cables, etc.

I got some good pics of me hanging on a column, leg locked in the web about 34ft. off th ground.

Don't miss those days much. Matter of fact, I think I need to bump the heat down a little in here
