My blood is boiling
This jerk is at the top of my "will not see any of their movies/buy their CD ever again" list. I am so mad right now I can't hardly see the keyboard to type how disgusted this idiot makes me. I only wish he had the courage to say what he said BEFORE his recent movie was released and I went and saw it. Who is it? Johnny Depp. Click here for Depp's statements (CNN)

You know what makes me even more angry? By his next movie, most people will have forgotten what this pinhead said. I won't, and I hope you guys don't either! >

I wouldn't worry about him, his statements have about as much substance as the clutch on my chainsaw currently has. Sounds like a ten year old. Saw him on Letterman when the movie was coming out. Looked like a moron there. Dave was gritting his teeth through the whole interview. Does he even talk in this movie? They don't seem to give him roles with very many lines. I DID want to see the movie though. :

Gentlemen -
If there is something that is NOT in short supply in Hollywood, its this mindset voiced by Depp. He is lucky to be from a country where he can voice his opinion and criticize U.S. policy without fear of retribution. People like Depp are good at namecalling, but offer no workable solutions or alternatives. It is the "in vogue" thing to do in Hollywood right now. For some reason, show biz people seem to think their opinions carry more weight that the rest of us. In my opinion, it only shows how ignorant & uninformed they really are.
You could put everything Depp knows about foreign policy in a thimble and have room left over. He comes off sounding like an uneducated buffoon. Which, I think he is anyway.
The best way is to avoid the industry that supports his views. I haven't spent a dime on a movie in 10 years..All the movies I watch are old..
If you think Depp is bad, get an earful of Babs Striesand some time. She'd have us socialized in no time. Makes California look down right conservative.

I was going to make that same point. 90% of the people in Hollywood are intellectually disarticulated at best. My common terminology for this condition is "cranial-rectal inversion". Babs is only one of very many that have the socialist indoctination (nice term for brainwashing) and very little understanding of real human nature and its political applications. In ALL historical applications, socialism has been equal to enslavement of one class to another. This is not new, it has been going on for quite some time. Perhaps most of them never grew up and therefore never learned that "peer pressure" only works for those who do not have a mind of their own. My wife and I never go to movies any more, and mostly rent movies that do not feature today's "activists". Let the weak-minded fund their drivel.

Re:My blood is boiling
I wish i could find the email my brother gave me on the lack of education these actors have. I can't believe that a coledge drop-out or highschool flunkie thinks they are beter suited to run this great country. I know that the educational background of our leadership will put holywood to shame. As far as Jhony-boy i hope he stays in france with the rest of the spineless. Just my opinion i could be wrong but not likely.

Re:My blood is boiling
From a biography I found using Google:
Never the studious teenager and even more distraught by the divorce of his parents, Depp delved into the world of experimental drugs, and picked up a whole new passion: the guitar. The high-school dropout spent his days playing guitar in a garage band, after he taught himself how to play with the instrument his mother bought him.
Now, I know several pretty smart people who are high-school drop-outs, so that alone doesn't necessarily make him an idiot in my book. I also know that some drug experimentation doesn't automatically make you an idiot, either. Only conclusion I can come to is he's still stoned...
