moretires!! 235's vs. 215's on 97 dually
I want to go to 235's from my stock 215's, but I have been told that they will rub. Is this tru? I Have about an inch and a half between them now. I don't want to spen $700 on 235's if they are going to rub and blow.

I'm running 235/85's on my '02 dually. You should be fine unless there is different backspaceing between the 97 and 02 wheels. I don't know if there is or not, but I doubt it. I've been told you can run 255's without rubbing, but i've never ran 255's myself, so I'm not sure.

My 97 has run a good many miles (has 238k on it now) with 235 85's on it. No problems with the tires rubbing, and I tow heavy when I do, ~30k gross.

You should be able to easily go up to 245's. I have 235's because I didn't want to wait two weeks for 245's. I think the newr trucks can go to 255's.
