Looks like if you live near a military base, you may have a problem with your garage door opener.

Got this problem all the time in the posh neighborhoods at the base of Cheyenne Mtn. right near NORAD.
Only, their problem is the doors open and close randomly at all times day or night.
Has just started since the security buildup since 9/11.
The military always denied any connection with it....

Automatic car door locks, too. Well, they're already affected by something. I had to be right next door to my car at my last base to unlock the doors.

I live under the instument approach to a local airport. Lots of military stuff comes and goes out of this airport. Being a pilot I love to see them, but yes my garage doors and other stuff starts doing werid stuff every once in a while.
Its all good, the cost of freedom ain't cheap!

since you brought this up, i've always had to stand right next to the truck to unlock the doors with the remote. i thought it was some sort of security feature to keep crooks from running scanners on it from across the parking lot or something. maybe it's just screwed up.

I find if I crinkle the foil up first and make the hat with the shiney side out, it does a much better job at keeping the gov't. from reading my thoughts.

Seriously though, you are saying I should use foil and not plastic wrap? Durnit, may be that's what's wrong.
