Mornin'. Heads a little fuzzy this mornin', don't really remember last nite, not sure if the two are related.

Today is Monday, May 27th. Memorial Day.

1668 - Three colonists were expelled from Massachusetts for being Baptists.

1813 - Americans captured Fort George, Canada.

1896 - 255 people were killed in St. Louis, MO, when a tornado struck.

1901 - The Edison Storage Battery Company was organized.

1907 - The Bubonic Plague broke out in San Francisco.

1919 - A U.S. Navy seaplane completed the first transatlantic flight.

1926 - Bronze figures of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer were erected in Hannibal, MO.

1935 - The U.S. Supreme Court declared that President Franklin Roosevelt's National Industrial Recovery Act was unconstitutional.

1937 - In California, the Golden Gate Bridge was opened to pedestrian traffic. The bridge connected San Francisco and Marin County.

1941 - U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt proclaimed an "unlimited national emergency" amid rising world tensions.

1941 - The German battleship Bismarck was sunk by British naval and air forces. 2,300 people were killed.

1942 - German General Erwin Rommel began a major offensive in Libya with his Afrika Korps.

1944 - U.S. General MacArthur landed on Biak Island in New Guinea.

1969 - Construction of Walt Disney World began in Florida.

1995 - In Charlottesville, VA, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed after being thrown from his horse during a jumping event.

1998 - Michael Fortier was sentenced to 12 years in prison for not warning anyone about the plot to bomb an Oklahoma City federal building.

Thought for the day:
Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.

C0ffee & ph00 are ready.

Morning. Chaikwa, your head is fuzzy, literally or figuratively?

Coffee is ready, biscuits in the oven.

There were no 'fuzz-tivities'! Hence my aggravation for the fuzziness. No reason for it. Getting better tho. Naturally, now that I can do something, (like paint the new sawmill), it's raining.

If you really want a fun job try changing out struts and ball joints on a Saab 9.7x!!!! Had to do that on my wife's wagon Friday. The way those lower ball joints are pressed and held in place is a joke. No way to use a press to get them out either. Had to use the ol' torch to blow holes in them and then use air hammer to get them out. Should have been a 4 hour job.....turned into 6. Sure made the beer taste good afterwards.

No. SAAB is the sound a backwards sheep makes.

It's gone now, thank God.

Hey, j_martin, didn't you once tell me how to make a governor for my 5.9 so it would keep a constant 1800 RPM's regardless of load? Or maybe I'm thinking it was someone else.

that sounds fun.

My frontier lower ball joint is pressed in, the has like a 2-1/2" hex nut that is staked to the ball joint.you gotta remove the lower a-arm to press the ball joint out.

And a big thanks to current and former military service members.

Been a good vehicle so far. Based off the Chevy Trailblazer platform. Good little engine too....it's "INLINE" as well ....it'll go 15,000 miles before an oil change with Royal Purple synthetic in it. It's all wheel drive and after seeing the oil pan I told the wife that if it ever develops an oil leak there we got to get rid of it....the pan is 2-piece and the axle shafts run right through that sucker!!!
