Make adeal today, drive it home tomorrow? ***!

What's up with some of you guys making a deal on a new truck today but having to wait to pick it up tomorrow? Can't you go into the dealer, pick out a truck, pay for it, then drive it home? When I bought mine I didn't pull into the dealer until 8:30 p.m. but I still drove it home that night. What's the deal?

I've wondered that myself. The day I bought my truck, I picked it out, test drove it and less than an hour later, I was leaving with it...

A good dealer will detail the truck and fill it up with fuel. That will take some time.

my new truck i just got was detailed also before I picked it up, but.............

they refused to top off the tank, I got less then half a tank, i thought that was bs....yes i feel i got a good deal on the truck, but if they would have topped off the tank, it would of helped the next time I buy.....most likely for that reason alone, I will buy someplace else next time.

The dealers like to hold it on their lot for a few days so they can loan it out for lead footed test drives. Thats what you guys do when you get in it right? Why would you not expect them to do the same to the next potential buyer.

When I order a truck I will not take delievery if it has more than 5 miles on it. It's used (by some lead footed, test drivien, CTD owner wannabe) if it has more, and it's their truck not mine.

Haven't you guys heard of complicated registrations and hardcore insurance issues? I know MA is a real complicated state with this insurance stuff, but isn't there a 5 hour wait at your registry of motor vehicles too?

I got a full tank of gas and drove it out 4 hours after I walked in the lot.. While we were talking it over and filling out the paperwork it was being detailed and filled up...

If I pay for it and siggn for it, they are not keeping it over night..!!
