Wink

Hey DTR!

summer is officially here.

paid for that lil motorcycle ride by getting the equipment stuck while doing trail maintenance.

tractor sank in underground spring on the back trail between two hills. had to farm jack one side, put planks down. repeat. in about a foot of water and rising....no more work on that trail till august.

used tractor to load dump truck, for North side trail repair (pipe in a new creek run) and hubby put the rear wheel off the pipe into the creek. use tractor to push out (got to love them dodge one tons!!) just a bit, and finish three more loads of material over the pipe. 30 minutes of power washing to rid the tractor of glacial forest mud.

hubby took four wheeler and wood trailer to East trail for last year's wood splits along the trail (downed trees, thinning, ect.), four wheeler wedged in small creek between the banks. unload trailer, detach- wedged solid. walk back to home, get tractor and chains, lift the front end out of creek, haul big rocks for crossing.

where's swamp loggers when ya need them, with the four foot wide tires?

today-taking two yamaha 800 bikes to get repaired for son, he wants to get his motorcycle license. I have been riding harleys for 34 years and I am scared to death of him getting on a bike.........keeping my mouth shut is the best option here though.

Hi gang, busy as usual. Have my English cousin and her family with us for a couple days - - sorta tied me down among everything else. Nice seeing them - - been 15 years since we were over there. Wow, those kids sure grow up.

Dreary down here for second day - - need the rain so bring it on. Flowers are finally going crazee.

UHHH, Heidi - - he can only ride one at a time. ...........It is a little scary when the kids get on a motorcycle. I let my older son ride my bike - - told him shortly and quietly mess up the first time - - if you are still alive you won't get on it again - - that is a promise. He did great for about 3 months. Caught him racing a Honda. That was it. You are right.

OK, gone.

Bob

Bean and cheese taco while the glue dries. Seems like an appropriate meal for the conversation this morning.

I was thinking the same thing before I got to this line

And you can always tell your son "Do as I say, not as I do. Because I said so, that's why."

Don't blame you Bob. If my dad would have followed that rule I never would have had one. I'm betting he's taking a lesson from his parents, using 4 tires instead of two.
