Of course last time they did it they messed it all up and I actually lost $$$$$$. When they took me out of acting status, they bumped me back a longevity step. And of course they also didn't actually increase my pay for the acting status either.
Hopefully they will have that issue sorted out soon.

Neat stuff!! They still dont pay enough. A real perk about being the sup is that you can assign yourself to the good stuff like doing the S-searches on the drunk with the abnormally lumpy pants. Actually, I suspect you are the kind of guy who continues to do the hard jobs even though you could easily give them to others.

LoL! My last one was in May of 02. I remember it well. I was doing my normal "lead by example" and decided to fill in as the day S/S because of short shifts. Plus I always liked to show people that I was still in touch. That was the worst pair of pants I ever saw on a day shift. I swear the guy had been eating bamboo or something. I am so glad I retired.
Speaking of which, Its time for bed. Marc--I still dream of those **** jails. I dream of them more than the military or the slope. I appreciate you sticking with it.

You're welcome! Now tuck your pants back into your waders and get busy!
Morning.
Today is Tuesday, June 28th.
On this day in 1776 - American Colonists repulsed a British sea attack on Charleston, SC.
1778 - Mary "Molly Pitcher" Hays McCauley, wife of an American artilleryman, carried water to the soldiers during the Battle of Monmouth and, supposedly, took her husband's place at his gun after he was overcome with heat.
1902 - The U.S. Congress passed the Spooner bill, it authorized a canal to be built across the isthmus of Panama.
1919 - The Treaty of Versailles was signed ending World War I exactly five years after it began. The treaty also established the League of Nations.
1942 - German troops launched an offensive to seize Soviet oil fields in the Caucasus and the city of Stalingrad.
1945 - U.S. General Douglas MacArthur announced the end of Japanese resistance in the Philippines.
1949 - The last U.S. combat troops were called home from Korea, leaving only 500 advisers.
1950 - North Korean forces captured Seoul, South Korea.
1965 - The first commercial satellite began communications service. It was Early Bird (Intelsat II).
1967 - Fourteen people were shot in race riots in Buffalo, New York.
1972 - U.S. President Nixon announced that no new draftees would be sent to Vietnam.
1978 - The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the medical school at the University of California at Davis to admit Allan Bakke. Bakke, a white man, argued he had been a victim of reverse racial discrimination.
1996 - The Citadel voted to admit women, ending a 153-year-old men-only policy at the South Carolina military school.
2000 - The U.S. Supreme Court declared that a Nebraska law that outlawed "partial birth abortions" was unconstitutional. About 30 U.S. states had similar laws at the time of the ruling.
2004 - The U.S. turned over official sovereignty to Iraq's interim leadership. The event took place two days earlier than previously announced to thwart insurgents' attempts at undermining the transfer.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Time magazine's 'Man of the Year' for 1938 was Adolph Hitler.
Coffee and ph00 are on.

Morning!
I saw on the news this morning that someone had done a survey on mosquitoes. The survey recommends putting on more mosquito repellant if you are going to be drinking beer outside. They claim the mosquitoes are attracted to the smell of the beer. I thought they were attracted to the CO2 and since beer is loaded with it, oh well...... So I was thinking, since mosquitoes can be dangerous maybe I should go over to compd and warn our former members about it.....
I'm thinking about it....
Still thinking....
OK, I'm going to do it...
