That's ok. I've decided that it's on tomorrow. As long as I stop when competent authority tells me to stop, I don't think that they can ruin me.
What are they going to do? Shave my head and send me to Parris Island?

Davey!!!! good to hear from ya! sorry bout the weather..
T rad you are just too funny! friend of mine suggested stopping in at the county office that handles derelict houses, fire burnouts, public safety stuff for demolition bids. BACK AWAY from the doughnuts!! hehehe good judge, bad judge THAT was hilarious!
MADHATTER son, make the talk personal- WE live in an unjust world but stay true to OUR beliefs and goals! Those in command may have personal objectives (or just vacuum) but WE follow orders to be the best we can possibly be as a UNIT! The world will not change me, I will inform my fellow Marine of the need to tighten up! (or whatever you guys say now) with a cheerful comraderie tone, because that is what this SQUAD is all about!
MPs called it positive positioning. but that was when service members wanted to be there. find the good in each person and work day. avoid burnout (heheh tough for a jet mechanic) You have done right, we believe in you, start beliving in yourself. one goal per day. when you get an ego the size of godzilla- DTRs finest can shrink 'dat! when someone complements you, stop thinking the opposite!
you too kinda sick Bavarian Matt!
it is just normal adjustment time in life. no worries stay focused...
I'll send you cookies!

GREETINGS from the Surgical-go-round. Got bumped again. Since my injury is documented and is deemed an impairment for commercial driving, even if I wanted to go back to work, I would have no insurance and full liability for ANY incident. So here I sit and will try again next week.
On the sunnier side of things, I adjusted the coffee again. It will never freeze and will only boil when temps exceed 475F. This might be the fuel of the future.
Someone let me know.
2 da loo

Mornin' all!
Anti-freeze/burn coffee and square donuts. What a deal!
Only -15*F this AM. Warmed from -30* last night. Not too bad. The city is out plowing hard pack and removing it. Had to dodge the graders coming home from taking the kid to school.
Hat- Hang in there. You are in a position to guide the junior troops through their hard times. You probly have a much better vision of the big picture than they do by virtue of your greater experience. Guide them well. Just like someone probly did for you earlier in your career. The situations may be different but guidence from a senior member is never a bad thing. Remember, If it was easy, everyone would do it.......
Scotty- Sorry 'bout the bump. You'll get there eventually. There is a thread in the general section about adapting a M/T truck for use by a 1 legged woman. Good stuff in there. Perhaps we could fire off some ideas to adapt your truck for 1 armed driving and get you back to work. How hard could it be?
To everyone in the Icebelt, Might as well sharpen the skates an play for a bit. No electricity required.

Madhat, you and your troops hang in there! Deployments can really test your sanity! I survived three deployments to Iwakuni, that run on the seawall was a stress reliever! Semper Fi!

UHHHHHHHH - --------------- NOPE, NOT GOING THERE - - NO WAY, JOSE.
Poor Scotty - - he is lonesome. Hey man, sorry about the delay on that surgery. My cousins constantly complain about having to wait sooo long to get something done. Not fun when you are hurting or dying.
Company pulled out this morning - - three weeks is a long time. Nice having them but nice to have the house to ourselves. Got the monitors off, finished at the dentist - - wow, almost feel human again. Now maybe I can catch up with all my "stuff." I am soooo behind.
See it warmed up for Marc - - only -15 - - wow, heat wave. We have another cool front moving in. It was 77 today, but high of 62 tomorrow is on the slate, and colder tomorrow night meaning the plants come in again. YUK Oh well, sure better than 2" of ice on the ground.
OK, grabbing a cup of ph00, filtering first, then run tests before drinking cause I see Scotty was in here before me. Little rascal - - just can't trust him. See ya'll.

Hi all,
Been a while since I checked in ... too many irons in the fire, I s'pose.
Looks like Mad's enjoying his deployment .... kinda like nailing jello to a tree, right ?
Gotta run ... son #1 has finished talking to the Army recruiter so now I can fill in some of the blanks. Could be shipping him off to bootcamp w/in a month. Not the service of my choice, but then again ... it ain't my choice .

Evening all, ran some errands today. Gf stayed home from work today, she sounded like death this morning but she's alot better now. Nothing exciting tonight although it did warm up today to 27*.
