I just had a friend get back from the Iraq. He is a Navy Seabee (engineer) he did a lot of assessment on damaged bridges and structures, working with him was a squad of marines that in his words “their only function in life was to keep me alive and to kill people, I love the marines”.
Just thought you would like to know that most likely some of the men you trained kept my friend alive.
Thanks

I am told (I do not know this first hand) that the only thing more dangerous than Marines in a war zone, would have to be bored Marines in a war zone.
Having known a few Inactive Marines I can believe this statement.
If you will please note: I have learned enough to know that there are no retired or ex Marines. It's a Long story that I will not go into.
Anyway good job Mad and thanks

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I have a few marine friends and I would put my life in their hands any day!
The stories they tell can give me goose bumps, and I am not even talking about the gory stuff

Like i have said before and i will say it again don't be scared cause when the world needs help and they dial 911 don't worry there will be a US Marine waiting to get that call! Madhat can you get a picture of the chapel on PI for these guys who don't know but the pearly gates are guarded by United States Marines. And one other thing since i have been out i have had a total of 50 plus students both men and women who wanted to know the correct way to shoot a rifle and pistol. My buddy swears he wishs now i didn't show his wife how to shoot! She is better then him! Yes MADHAT i had her every weekend just like we did on the island and i drilled it into her head all the saftey! She got a brand new model 35 Glock when she graduated my class!!!

Administrator/Jarhead
Ya know, there are some dumb jarheads out there, and I may be one of them, we do retarded stuff sometimes, but give us a 5 paragraph order (list of what needs to be done/how we're gonna do it) and turn us lose... better not be in front of us.
