as luck would have it.
today i was removing my ag fuel tank from the back of my 93 4x4 ctd it had some fuel in it so i decide on lifting it out with my loader tractor. most the time i throw and old chunk of plywood inbetween the tank and the cab just in case things go wrong. well today i didn't i have to reach the tank from the side of the pickup. well the tank has two nice loops on each end to lift from so i run a chain from the bucket of my tractor to both loops on the tank. i didn't notice the twist in the chain . well i lift it up and around the tank goes in slow motion and the corner of the tank hits the rear window right behind the drivers seat after hitting the window rather hard it scrapes across the glass and stops. it didn't shatter or crack the glass. i kinda think i owe the man upstairs one.

man you lucked out for sure!
isn't that funny how all the other times you put plywood there but the one single time you don't the chain gives way and ALMOST shatters your rear window.

One time in my old 66 F-250 I was hauling a pallet load of sales flyers. The guy who loaded them either didn't notice or forgot to mention that the pallet was broken in front. Needless to say when I took a dip in the parking lot, the pallet tipped forward enough for several boxes to slide forward into my rear window. Seems those windows are about a 1/2" thick and are just held in by the rubber gasket. Pushed it right through into the back of my head. Good thing my head's so hard, or I might have got hurt.
Anyway, at least the guy who loaded them helped me get the window back in place.
Glad yours made it through in one piece.
