A little gasser help from my 1st gen friends?

Hello Gents!
Need some help on my Wife's 2002 Grand Cherokee. The wipers all of the sudden have forgotten where they are. I know on older stuff there was an accentric and switch inside the wiper motor that controlled park.
Is it the same on these, or is there a controller somewhere? I don't have the FSM so I can't look it up.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Mark

I just had a problem with my 97 Sport. The module is in the switch, I replaced the switch and they still didn't find home. I reinstalled the old switch then replaced the wiper motor and it now works. I don't know if Grands are the same as Sports or if 97s and 02s are comparable. The other thing that wasn't working was the wiper delay. Good luck. Try Alldatadiy.com if you don't want to buy a FSM.

Thanks much! I was leaning that way because her intermittent setting isn't working right either. I'll go pick up a motor today.
Thanks again,
Mark

Have you guys checked the park switch inside the wiper motor??
The intermittent system needs this working to operate too.

I'm going to put my money on the wiper motor. Just replaced one on my 98 for the same reason.

Make sure it's grounded good. If the ground on the motor is weak, the motor will often run but not want to go to the park setting.

i`ts an easy fix - go to a salvage yard and find a grandcherokee- in the kick pannel -drivers side _ you don`t eaven have to remove it _ gently grab the top back corner and pull out - you will see a module there about 2 in x3 in
it plugs in on both ends - get it & replace yours with it .
I did this with mine -works perfictly

before the exchange my wipers wouldnt park - & intermitant would not work !
good luck

check behind your kick pannel drivers side- thats where you will find
winshield wiper controle module _
its simple to check - & don`t cost anything .
there were many disbilivers when i told them - including the president of the cadilac jeep club - he was amazed - knew it was there & thought it was controle for rear wiper !
give it a check - it looks like a connector to connect the two sets of wires -
really isn`t much two it
