Got some good news today. I've been waiting since January for a decision from the FAA about medically clearing me for flying PIC. Been dealing with skin cancer and subsequent surgeries. Got the letter saying good to go today. Yippee for me! Now to get the "boss" to fund it........

sherod: Father in-law got rid of his cub and A-sedan and got an Aeronca Champ.
Low enough HP so he can fly it with a Sport Pilot Certificate (no FAA medical exam needed). He still likes me to go up with him just in case.
Viva Las Vegas Sis
Very clever. Didn't recognize it as one half of a torque converter. That solved several problems.
Same here. Stuff just stops growing and we get a lot of rain also.
I wont be happy with the weather again until we get some ice and snow (part of the reason we are driving out pretty soon).
53f and raining here. Just saw a large group of geese heading south. I hope to pass them soon.

Absolutely not!
Scott, interesting idea about using a pto shaft. Wonder where you got it?
Fronty, I guess I'm a little in the dark because I thought the employment issue had worked itself out. Sorry for my gaps in memory.
Afternoon all. Hey Scott, I got to play fab a little today. I built a modified P-38 to open up a pair of 4000 gallon fuel tanks. We'll see if it works.

Three rats I know jumped ship before I did.
As it stands, all the management involved in my product line between my boss and the president of the division has bailed. I wasn't the first rat off the boat, but I wasn't the last.
I kinda miss the old place, but after a couple weeks, they have me covered up already.

This is true in part. It does have a 1qt reservoir that supplies the HPOP. It is fed through a vane on the front of the engine directly from the engine lubricating oil pump. I have seen videos showing how to evacuate the oil from the HPOP reservoir, a waste of time in my opinion. That oil is constantly changing out or recirculating. Yes some is left there during a routine oil change. If metal debris wiped out injectors it was from the HPOP coming apart internally, and that does happen. Expensive repair. I have seen the 7.3 ford version and the Navitstar T444e version go well into the 400k mile range with minimal repairs. We had an 03 F350 7.3 with 370k on it and the only thin ever done to it was a set on injectors at 310k. Unfortunately it burned to the ground during the fire we had in the shop.
If you ever get jammed up on one of those message me, I know a thing or two bout them.
If you ever get jammed up on one of those message me, I know a thing or two bout them.
And I agree on it being a waste of time, that's about 6 to 7 percent of the oil that you're not changing, unless I was running samples and changing oil based on test results I think it's just overkill.
One of the guys actually told me his truck starts and runs better since he started doing that.

1973 High school is over. Going into the Army.
When suddenly, on the only radio station to ever play the entire Alice's Restaurant Massacree comes this.
My dreams are getting so strange

The new generations music still doesn't have anything on the brilliant stuff I used to listen to.

Hi there, been away for a while, running like crazy trying to keep up with everything.
Now I finally got ahead, and work is slowing down to be halftime starting next week, that's okay with me, I still got plenty to do at home .
I see that all is going as usual around here, some folks get sunshine and some folks get the rain.
Chaikwa better learn to play the piano with all them valves on that woodprocessor, can't wait to see that beast running.
Watched last week as the farmer to one side of my house was out turning a few acres, looks kinda funny when he just sits in that 300HP JD drinking coffee while dragging that 15 feet harrow in a perfectly straight line, GPS is a nice thing.

Morning all.
It is Wednesday, September 4th.

1833 - Barney Flaherty answered an ad in "The New York Sun" and became the first newsboy/paperboy at the age of 10.
1882 - Thomas Edison's Pearl Street electric power station began operations in New York City. It was the first display of a practical electrical lighting system.

Today's thought:
There are no mistakes. The events we bring upon ourselves, no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in order to learn what we need to learn; whatever steps we take, they're necessary to reach the places we've chosen to go.

Evening all. Scott, the can opener didn't work. The design was ok but I needed it mounted on a piece of 6" square tubing and I only had 4". I'm ready to go to bed and the folks across the hall have a screaming toddler and I think they just turned him loose in the hall. Grrr.....

Interesting, I don't think I had ever seen one played before.
Don't think I would want to be stuck in an elevator with them.
Last flight I was on I forgot my noise cancelling headphones. Guess who got stuck in the back surrounded by screaming kids.
That was a quote from the song. My dreams are pretty boring.
Except for the ones with shrews. Despite what I have read, I'm still pretty sure they aren't really about sex.

Mine are just stoopid. Last night's was about an automatic diaper changer I designed. Only problem was that it removed to old, used diaper over the baby's head.
