Kit cars

Anyone into kits cars? I started digging up info on my favorite car, and there a is little more info on it finally. I would love to build it. No kit is offered. Just want to know what all is involved in building a kit car. thanks. Oh and the car is the Dodge Wraith or Turbo Interceptor. http://www.thewraithcar.com/

I've talked to a couple of people who have put together a shelby cobra kit car and from what I understand on those is you need the engine, front end, and rear end from a fox body mustang. Now, the engine, well, a 427 fits under there just as nicely as a 302.

My favorite is the Cheetah one bad puddy kat .Very hard to find a kit for them.My other kit would be the AH 3000 MK I with a small block. But this summer my girlfriend want to help me but a 289 C4 set up in a MGB.Got to love a gal like that.I have seen a Cobra with a 454 BB with blower and nitro on it very nice verry nice.Heard it heck on the corners but a straight line it was gone. That was a kit car.

hahaha a 289 in an MG! I have to see that! I've seen luv pickups with supercharged 350's, a vega with a bigblock, a volkswagon with a blown 350, never seen an MG done. That would be a hoot.

Outrider , back in 1978 I put a 289 small block Ford in a 65 MGB , very doable..... back then I had a 8 inch Ford rear end narrowed and quite didnt look right with the spokes in front and caps in the rear... wheel choices are much better nowadays. you will have to put a hatch just above the throttle pedal to change the rear spark plug on drivers side.

A friend of mine has an old VW/Sandrail manual that gives explicit instructions on how to hang a 455 Buick off the back of a VW.

My Dad built a Lone Star Classic Cobra. Pics are in my photo gallery. One of the pics is Carroll Shelby sitting in the car.

Wasn't Charlie Sheen the epitamy of good acting in that.

Sad thing, his acting ability hasn't improved much.

Spunbearing please check out a book called the Complete Book of Engine Swaping,it has a very nice looking 289 powerd MG in it.The 289 is coming out of a Austin Healy 3000 MK I .In the its place is a 327 4speed O/D .The wierdest was 2 stroke boat motor in a Alfa .Dont ask just have the thoughts of from Road America it was strange sounding as heck. I think my dad has pics of it somwere.

I have a '41 ****** "plastic" body and pro street frame from A & C Rods. Flawless body. SBC chev (edlebrock perf rpm) and turbo 350 trans. 9" ford I narrowed myself with a Mitler tool. Mustang Tubular front a arms coil over rears. Hoosier pro street radials. Great project.
Money pit.

Just found a webpage with a 289 mgb. Pretty cool page. I was thinking of the midget. I'm sure it could be done if you had a big enough shoehorn.
