Kids throw rocks at Sergeant
This is the kind of things that really bother me. These soldiers do not deserve this kind of treatment. Our armed forces fight for our freedom and right to free speech. These stupid kids have NO IDEA what kind of work these people do for us. None, and it really gets to me when this kind of thing happens. Again, pray for our troops. Do not forget them during this time. Always remember they're fighting for our FREEDOM!

Vermont Kids harrass Army Sergeant - click here

Where do the kids get this kind of stuff?............Their parents and MTV. > [undecided]
Amazing they chose to harass a female in uniform not a 6 foot-something 200+ lb Male Sergeant.
Chicken-s.....uh..well....stuff kids.
My kids will never pull some stuff like that.
They were taught to respect those in uniform.

I just wish these kids realized how much these people sacrifice for our country. I was in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller. I was stationed at a shore station my entire service career. I don't know what it's like to fight in a war like this, but I sure did meet a lot of them who did since I was active during the Gulf War.

I met some of the POW's that came back from the gulf, including one A6 pilot who came back looking pretty bad. This man was grounded for maybe a month before going right back up and training in the A6 after the war. The guy was amazing, and it takes some serious guts to go through what he did, then go right back at it. He's still in from what I understand, 8 years after I got out.

Seeing many of these people come home and land on our field was a sobering experience. We treated them with honor and dignity. They deserved it. These guys and gals give up so much for us.

Off my soapbox now.

Jack

I think this is very disturbing.
The men and women in uniform have faught and many died to protect our rights. INCLUDING these kids right to protest and have free speech!
And THIS is how they show their respect and appreciation for their right to protest?
Just makes me sick!
>
I was raised with a deep appreciation and respect of our men and women in Service!
What are these kids parents doing?!?!?! (or not doing)!
>

Ok... I'll step down off my rant now.
Rich
Too bad they didn't catch them. They probably don't realize that'd be a felony regardless of how they thought about the war. Worse if they caused injury. Not much I hate worse than parents that enable this kind of activity. When their kids get caught, they think the cops woke that morning with nothing better to do than "entrap" thier poor babies.

I have a hard time imagining something like that happening, but then again, I wasn't around during the Vietnam conflict. I suppose now, I'll just keep a camera in my truck to take pictures of anybody who tries something like that with me. : I just wish there was a way to reeducate these people, or give them an appreciation for what we (armed forces) do. There's nothing more frustrating than debating with someone who has no idea what they're talking about because at that point arguments don't have to follow any sort of logic, and nothing has to make sense. Phew....I'm glad I got that out. There's more where that came from, but I'll spare you.

-SFB

I would probably get jailed if I witnessed something like that, as far as I would be concerned They would have no redeeming social value which in my opinion makes them fair game. >

Do not be too hard on these kids. They're just misinformed. They need to be educated. They need to be taught to show respect to women, to people in uniform, to other folks in general. I would gladly volunteer to help them onto this new path with my good friends Misters Hillerich and Bradsby >.

And these protesters are supposed to be "peace loving" individuals. : I know they were only teenagers, but they're following the examples that have been set before them, be it their parents, the protesters they see on TV, their former governor, etc. I've never been in the service, but I do have a deep respect for those that are or have been. And I know that the real peace loving people are those that are over there giving their all, fighting for it, and those here at home supporting what they are doing.

Passing soap box to next in line.

CR
An incident like this happened yesterday, here in Abilene, TX, of all places. A young airman 2-striper was surrounded by several punks, who pushed and shoved him around, asking him how he could be involved in such an "unjust and criminal war". The young airman kept his cool, and politely but firmly made his way back to his vehicle without responding to their goading.

This is quite a testament to the quality of men and women that have VOLUNTEERED to serve their country.

My hat's off, and I salute the men and women that are defending and protecting this great country of ours.

Ever wonder when the first suicide bomber is going to strike inside the U.S?
Wonder what they (anti-war fanatics) would do or think if someone blew themself up in the middle of one of their anti-war rallies killing a bunch of Americans?
I bet they would be glad to see the men and women in uniform come to their aid then...
