Kerosun type heater

We had a cold spell here the last few days and I didn't want to crack open the propane yet. I had about 1/4 gallon of kerosene in my wick type indoor kerosene heater. I'm about 20 miles from town and it was late so I grabbed a gallon of the "new" low sulfer diesel from the garage. I poured it in with the kerosene and it burned pretty good. No difference in smell. I was surprised because I have burned the old type diesel in this heater out in my garage and it stank pretty bad. I don't plan on using the diesel again but it sure worked in a pinch. I imagine it had some biodiesel mixed in it too since most of the suppliers around here are mixing it now. Interesting new fuel.
