Congrats! She must have a good sense of humor and has a soft spot for dumb animals (thats why I am still married).
Look, we all know how you got that sloping forehead. From opening canned food.

Its about as addicting as crack.
nutritionally, is comparable to peanut butter, but is sweeter and has a cocoa flavoring.
put nutella on one slice of wheat bread, peanut butter on the other and it tastes likes a reeses cup, but healthier.

Coffee's erupting, dragon's been out for his stretch. New roll of TP in the johnbob for fiver. Gonna be a hot one, don't work to hard and watch for the storms.

Morning.
It's Monday. It's hot and oppressively humid. We're going to have severe storms. And I have to bury a friends' dog.
Today is Monday, July 11th.
On this day in 1798 - The U.S. Marine Corps was formally re-established by "An Act for Establishing a Marine Corps" passed by the U.S. Congress. The act also created the U.S. Marine Band. The Marines were first commissioned by the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775.
1804 - The United States' first secretary of the treasury, Alexander Hamilton, was killed by Vice President Aaron Burr in a duel. Whatever happened to this 'tradition'? Is it still on the books? Can it still be used? Why can't someone challenge BO to a 'duel'?
1864 - In the U.S., Confederate forces led by Gen. Jubal Early began an invasion of Washington, DC. They turned back the next day.
1934 - U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt became the first American chief executive to travel through the Panama Canal while in office.
1955 - The U.S. Air Force Academy was dedicated in Colorado Springs, CO, at Lowry Air Base.
1962 - The first transatlantic TV transmission was sent through the Telstar I satellite.
1972 - U.S. forces broke the 95-day siege at An Loc in Vietnam.
1977 - The Medal of Freedom was awarded posthumously to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in a White House ceremony.
1979 - The abandoned U.S. space station Skylab returned to Earth. It burned up in the atmosphere and showered debris over the Indian Ocean and Australia.
1980 - Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini ordered the release of hostage Richard Queen due to illness. Queen was flown to Zurich, Switzerland. Queen had been taken hostage with 62 other Americans at the U.S. embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979.
1985 - Dr. H. Harlan Stone announced that he had used zippers for stitches on 28 patients. The zippers were used when he thought he may have to re-operate.
1995 - Full diplomatic relations were established between the United States and Vietnam.
1998 - U.S. Air Force Lt. Michael Blassie, a casualty of the Vietnam War, was laid to rest near his Missouri home. He had been positively identified from his remains that had been enshrined in the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington, VA.
1999 - A U.S. Air Force jet flew over the Antarctic and dropped off emergency medical supplies for Dr. Jerri Nelson after she had discovered a lump in her breast. Nelso was at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Research Center.
2000 - Arkansas Judge Leon Johnson announced that he would preside over the disbarment case against U.S. President Clinton. Several other judges had stepped aside from the case citing the appearance of conflict of interest.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Walt Disney was afraid of mice.

Thanks, buddy. Missed being here.
Mornin, all. Tired. Stayed up late reading school work since the disk would not open at home, and I brought the wrong book home. 200 pages of reading starting at about 10 last night... it's ok. I can only read about 10 words a minute, I have to copy them over in crayon before I can read it...
Off to PT.

Morning people. Late start on account I was up 'til 2am watching the US-Brazil game - AWESOME! Seems like it's going to be a kick butt week. Congrats to DH who is officially an O4, though the braniacs in the unit couldn't pin him because the uniform shop was out of gold oak leafs...good job. That's what happens when the unit is top heavy. No one has the responsibility to take care of JO things
madhat, unbelievable it is cold. Can you turn the vents a little bit over this way?
Chaikwa, sorry to hear about your buddy's dog. Those are tough.
On the topic of pups, mine turns 7yo today. Happy Birthday Chester!

Bark, you gotta quit talking about Chaikwa that way - - he is going to get a very bad complex. ...
Hey man - - I won't even open that door anymore since the other day - - no way - - I don't care if there is NO TP paper in there. Looks like others couldn't even find the potty in the mess. ...
Hey Don, you guys better be hiding from the looks of the radar - - nasty storm coming across from ILL. May not reach you that high - - hope not. 650,000 people out of power this morning at first report. Not fun at all.
OK, off to the fertilizer man to get more work to do. Permit finally approved as of this morning - - unbelievable that anyone could take that long approving this - - sure glad it wasn't a $5 million buck project - - I could take a year cruise around the world and it still wouldn't be approved. Crazee. Heidi - - what do you do in your spare time????
Gone - - have a gudurn,
Bob

YES! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHESTER!
Yes, 'Shadow'. Carrie thinks she had a stroke yesterday. Had the vet come in this morning and do the right thing. 13 years old. I did ok until we lowered her into the hole, then I bawled like a little girl.
Some heavy weather here. Thunda n' lightnin', torrential downpours and WIND. Over now for the most part. One person killed about 20 miles south of here by a tree. Not a good Monday.

Well there's a thought I could do without!
Sorry about that Scott but you do own a backhoe. glad you're the sort to help out!
there's actually a weed eater of sorts for cutting those things underwater if you decide you don't want to spray again.
Morning, sick to my stomach this morning. I don't think I can continue to take the Cipro the doc prescribed after the lithotripsy.
Heidi, here's some additional info.
