Job hunting in America
Joe Smith started the day early, having set his alarm clock (made in Japan) for 6 a.m.. While his coffeepot (made in China) was Perking, He shaved with his electric razor ( made in Hong Kong). He put on his dress shirt (made inSri Lanka), Designer jeans (made in Singapore) and tennis shoes (made in Korea).
After cooking his breakfast on his new electric skillet (made in India), He sat down with his calculator (made in Mexico) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch ( made in Taiwan) by the radio ( made in India), He got in his car (made in Yugoslavia) and continued his search for a good paying American job.
At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day Joe desided to relax foe a while. He put on his slippers (made in Pakistan), poured himself a Brandy (Distilled in france) and turned on his TV (made in Indonesia), and then He wondered why he couldnt find a good paying job in America?......
Buy American as much as possible.

I try whenever possible.
Thought I was buying an American made truck.
Then I found out that Dodge is owned by Chrysler which changed it's name to Daimler-Chrysler when it was bought by a German company.
Then I noticed the door plate stating that my truck was assembled in Saltillo Mexico.
Cummins, a nice American company has their engine blocks cast in Brazil or Mexico.
Come to find out, my previous truck, a Toyota, a nice Japanese company, built my truck in Las Angeles.
So, which is more American?

Yeah, it may be true... a lot of things today are produced over seas.
BUT, lets see them make a better one of these!
Just kidding guys!
I mean no offense to our members over seas or to our members of foreign nationalities.

Good question. My old car was a Honda Accord, built in Kansas City.
Gave it to my sister in law and it now has 250,000 on it BTW.

ive had that on my fridge for years. i try and buy mostly american but i try my best to not buy china stuff. i just think were giving them way to much power. but you know you cant help buying it cause nobody else makes it or an american company puts their name on it and when you get home you find "the sticker" on the bottom. also any thing a store "gives away" is certainly made there. ok ill stop now

Of course. We can return all buisness to America, everything we buy will be made in our borders, and everybody would have jobs.
Then again, we wouldn't be able to afford a TV, Skillet, Calculator, Alarm Clock and Designer Jeans if everything was. Free trade will result in a better lifestyle- period. Even if you're out of work, you're only a minority. There is no "fair" in economics- unless you like the utopian Nash/ Marx notions of loving game theory and communal socialism, we have to live with it.
The solution in my opinion is that education is necessary if you want to make a good living in America. And countries like China deserve to be embargoed and nuked. Fixed currency me eye.

USA stuff is hard to find....Not all Carhart is made here. I have seen different types of their pants made elsewhere.....did not buy them either. Last time I looked, the Carhart carpenter pants are still USA.....good luck on the search. - JKE
