It's the "Where in the world is Bark today" breakroom.

Time to check in and report all the Bark sightings this week. You know he's on the move and he's a master of disguise. Why he could be standing next to you in the street and you might never know unless, the band started playing. Always anxious to try out some new moves, a catchy tune could cause him to spontaneously start to break it down right where he's standing. The "spider on my shoulder", "shrews in the garage" and "WTH just ran across my foot in the basement" are sure to be classics soon. Maybe some of you can help me figure out what he's going to call this one.

Ya know, there's a song about that, it's called "we'll never smoke weed with Willie again".
Get up and enjoy your Sunday, around here the weather is nice, little cloudy, not too cold and almost no wind, I better get my butt out and get moving on all the stuff that needs to be done before it gets cold and wet and.
Farmers around here are starting to harvest sugarbeets, it's amazing to see those things pick up 6 rows at a time, they can finish about 2 acres an hour if things go right.

G'morning I guess.

How are y'all? No, nevermind, I don't really wanna know.

It's Sunday, September 29th.

1789 - A regular army was established by the U.S. War Department with several hundred men.

1829 - The first public appearance by London's re-organized police force was met with jeers from political opponents. The force became known as Scotland Yard.

1943 - U.S. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and Italian Marchal Pietro Badoglio signed an armistice aboard the British ship Nelson.

1962 - U.S. President John F. Kennedy nationalized the Mississippi National guard in response to city officials defying federal court orders. The orders had been to enroll James Meredith at the University of Mississippi.

1982 - In Chicago, IL, seven people died after taking capsules of Extra-Strength Tylenol that had been laced with cyanide. 264,000 bottles were recalled.

1983 - The War Powers Act was used for the first time by the U.S. Congress when they authorized President Reagan to keep U.S. Marines in Lebanon for 18 more months.

1984 - Irish officials announced that they had intercepted the Marita Anne carrying seven tons of U.S.-purchased weapons. The weapons were intended for the Irish Republican Army.

1988 - The space shuttle Discovery took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida. It was the first manned space flight since the Challenger disaster.

1994 - The U.S. House voted to end the practice of lobbyist buying meals and entertainment for members of Congress.

1998 - Hasbro announced plans to introduce an action figure of retired U.S. General Colin Powell.

Today's thought:
People who chew the ends of their pens are more creative and less prone to mental sickness.

C0ffee & ph00 is on. Start chewing!

G'day eh. Another awesome fall day here too. Headed for 66F and light winds.
I'm getting lots done here before winter hits.
Should be rolling again tomorrow or Tues.
Hopefully only 2-4 more weeks of seat time. Tick ticktick

LEGGS are so beautiful again today I might sing another song.

A fine good morning to the gang. Rolled in from the Smokies about 9 last night. Was great to be up there in a nice home, but also nice to be in our home down here. Long day driving - - about 13 hours with fuel for us and for the car - - oh yeh, piddle breaks........................Had some great drives, good food, but mostly relax in our son's new vacation home, take walks in the hills, watch wildlife and hope for leaf change - - - grrrr - - - only a few isolated occurances. Our parting site coming down the mountain and out the gate of his subdivision was a black bear wanting to chat with us. ........................

Tried to catch up a bit since connections up in the mountains were scarce. Kept getting sidetracked with LEGGS all over the place. Big ones, skinny ones, ugly ones, Scotty ones - - - ..............

Uhh, Rick - - is this the video you promised of the music from church this morning???? Just asking..............

Got an update from Seattle about our granddaughter just before leaving up there. She had been very low on white cells for two weeks, so no treatments. Tests for the bad ones still are good. Sooo, they will be starting tomorrow (tests permitting) with a new series. She is one month away from the "horrible" two month series which is one month away from the final month. Those three months are the worst of the whole series. Don't know how much worse it can get than what we saw. I bleed for my son and wife as well as Ianna. Really horrible, but so far she is right on track except for this past two weeks and they really project this to happen. So grateful for your prayers for her.

OK, going to unpack and put away - -we came in and fell into bed last night. Now to settle back in.

( and just a side note, I shut the propane off at the tank before we began trenching around the lines back in May in anticipation of just such a occurrence, so nothing went BOOM)
Probably called in by a neighbor who had nothing better to do than sit around hoping he'd get to call 911 when you ran the tank over?

It doesn't take much to tip those tanks over. A Case 580 Super M will set it back upright, too. But ours was empty so when dad hit it, it just tipped on its side.

Been wanting to outfit the hopper I pull with LEDs. The ones I want are $23 on Iowa 80 truckstop's site, not bad, but it's $16 to ship one 600 miles UPS ground!!! And I haven't seen any on evilpay in a while. May have to open an amazon account.

Had a neighbor like that. In her 80's and a bit off. Every time we had a hot day, she swore those things were going to explode and she'd start calling the fire department. Had a mechanical engineer at work so he made copies out of his book to show how strong they were. That convinced her they were safe until a tree fell on hers and broke the valve off. She had a stroke.

Got the snow tires on the car, then the battery goes dead. Wasted the day fixing that.

The land lord cut a hole in the bottom of the heater duct to keep the pipes from freezing under the mobile home. It also lets shrew and mice in. While I was sitting here on the WWW both me and the cat started hearing something scratching in the duct. While the cat watched the register at 1 end, I placed an RC car at the other end of the duct and let her rip.

Just got it downloaded to the computer, working on the edit and upload. The entire praise and worship was 3gig on my cell phone. I taped it to the catwalk next to the video camera I was running. I got the whole thing from the cat-birds seat.

Prior to this, the most exciting thing I was doing was watch the linoleum balloon in the bathroom when the heater kicks on.

Evenin' DTR'onians!! Again.......it's been a while since I've come around but the work and school thing really have me tied up. I did take the day off yesterday for my daughters birthday party (her actual birthday is Oct. 01) and even though it got rained out for the most part, it was a blast to see the joy in her eyes when she opened her presents. 2 yrs in a row her outdoor party has turned sour weatherwise. Next year it will be indoors.

Was also good to see family. Kinda forget sometimes about them when you're so tied up with life.....Bob's situation right now reminds me that it's okay to slow down and remember what's really important!!!!

Remember Family!!!!

Hope all of you are doing well. Looking forward to some cooler Fall temps. Last 2 weeks have brought 9+ inches of well needed rain. It COULD have been spread out over 2 weeks instead of 2 days but we'll darn sure take it.

Anyhow, better get settled in for the night. Will check back in tomorrow with you folks.

Later taters.

Couple friends are thinking of going to West Virginia next summer (one is from Clarksburg originally) so I might go with them. Amtrak sure gets less expensive once you start buying tickets for more than 1 person. Trouble is overnight rides, and bunks are really expensive. Well, the rooms are expensive, and none are big enough to hold 3 adults, unless you cut one in half.

If I go we're going to swing up through Pennsylvania, too. Will be easier, too, to go back to Charleston to catch the train rather than try to catch one in Erie. Guy's family has cars we can use, but to catch the train in Erie we'd have no way to get it back to them. And it's a 36+ hour trip by train, so we'd be better off time-wise driving between instead of taking the train.

We told Chris about the new River Gorge Bridge- 876 feet to the deck. He had some choice words about not crossing that bridge I won't repeat here. I told him we'd go through the bottom and cross on the way back and he'd never know he was that far up.
