It's time to think about moving
Here in CA. the central valleys air has gotten worse tha S.F. and L.A. and because clovis sits along the foothills of the sierras, it's a hot spot. Their talking about banning fireplaces. Luckly I live in the foothills on some acerage. In town all new construction limits 1 fireplace per 5 ac. and lots average 1.25 ac.(go figure). Their going try to start regulations on Diesels, and revisit the rulling on pre-74' vehicles being exempt. Of course my vehicles of choice are:
65' Plymouth
73' Bronco
99' 2500 TD
The reg. fees are expected to triple in Jan.
And their selling more of our water to L.A.

Had to vent a little, we've got a couple of years, our Gov. will spend more $$$ passing new laws better spent on the problem.
Arizona is looking better all the time.

Re:It's time to think about moving
Hi Wade, Just where do you live? My family and I lived in Fresno for 10 years then picked up two acres west of clovis, out on Del Ray Ave. and built a house, then in 71 sold it and moved to Canada, Red Deer Alberta Canada that is. I still have a friend that lives up in Auberry. In fact we were just down there for a visit last Sept/01.

Wade,

I left Fresno in September '72 when I joined the Air Force. Went back maybe 5 times in 30 years. Mom & Dad have already passed away. I have two sisters still living there with their families. Otherwise, there's nothing there for me. The only thing I still miss is the fresh grapes and huge peaches in September.

Wayne.
Well now !!! I can say that along with the grapes and peaches, I missed persimmons, Almonds, English walnuts, Oranges, Dates, figs and all the other goodies.
And I joined the Air Force in Penna, spent 4 years stationed at Castel Air Force Base west of Atwater.
How things get turned around...................
