After Heidi's post I guess it's time to think of a new moniker for the sheep herder formally known as the janitor.

Yeah, about that wet part...think you could install a canopy over the breakroom deck?

Have a safe trip out east Scott.

Evening DTR. Ran a few errands this morning after the GF and I went for breakfast. Went out to my aunts this afternoon to pick up mom. Her and my grandpa got into town today. He's all moved in at my aunts, guess he's gonna live there from now on. Nice having him 25 min away instead of 1000 miles away. He seem to be happier now that he's gonna be around all his family. Looks like him and I are gonna have to go do some fishing together this summer.

Made ribs on the grill tonight, very good. They had a good smokey flavor and were tender. I used a dry rub on them i got from the future father in-law.

Relaxing right now and having a few brews.

grill is fired for heat, it's 53 here for the high temps. skeeters? haven't seen them here, bats find them very tasty.

explain this magnet thing Alaska people, please?

I can tell you that bats love mini marshmellows, when you throw them at force; out over the pond at dark. weird to see the white dots just disappear........

Try putting tobasco on the marshmallows..... works on seagulls....

WHOO!!! Feeling a little bit better... just to give you an idea on the pain scale, I'm at about 6 shots and a 800mg motrin, and it still hurts...

I'm not too sure about a beer containment unit for a tiller, however, I know a camelbak works well with some crown and coke...

naw...old prison guard here- seagulls are a curse! use to toss them alka seltzer tablets.....they explode in a few minutes. used to drop a water filled can of pop on the big fat skunks from the towers during the night shift. I had to 'get rid' of the cats and kittens at the farm, not pleasant. CO2 in a baggie and a cigarette fuse would take care of any crawlies in the cell house office area. then they pay big bucks for an exterminator at the admin building cause a secretary saw a moth or something.....sheesh.

well wakie wakie- look who is up early and all polished?!
yes, very good to 'see' you.......wish you could have said the same

my gut is killing me, waiting on the meds to kick in....

Mad- chemically- your are wasting captain and the meds. alcohol depletes the sensory nerve reaction. the meds did reduce the causation but you won't know it. kinda like an amputee still feels phantom pain. meds with green tea increase the pain relief (hypersensitivity) while alcohol alone just kills respondent receptors(brain cells). but you knew that......being a marine.

where is fronty? mid life crisis finally kick in?

doc says c'mon in, so off i go....

THANKS PAUL- always want to know why stuff works..... 70 in Alaska beat 32degrees here this AM. but it will warm up today to 65!! close enough. yeah, I have been targeting a few trees to fell for a better view of the lower hills. you can keep the big bears though....i'll stick to the black bears at 350 pounds that eat raspberries. must have a honey comb in a tree trunk as I have noticed ripped off bark on one tree about four to six feet up.

waiting for doc at his office.......scanning the net to stay focused....

A friend of mine from waaaay back used to look out over the valleys from the ridgetop up north and jokingly say, "It'd be a great view of the wilderness if it weren't for all the trees!"
