LoL! That’s what I would have called the breakroom if I had started it. I was going to go into a dialog of why that self-serving clown irritated me but it is the breakroom so I will give it a rest. I myself had misunderstood the whole thing and had charged 5 grand on a Giorgio Armani suit. I went clam digging in it yesterday. Now I think I will have to report it as stolen. I know, in retrospect it was stupid but I sure did look good.

Morning, coffee is under the grow light. Just about ready.

Had a close call this morning. Set the phone on the dash with the GPS on and thought it had located a Zombie. Turns out it was just the Droid App Killer Icon that spooked me.

Well, it's the 'morning after' and you're all still here... isn't there a pill for that?

Today is Sunday, May 22nd.

On this day in 1761 - In Philadelphia, the first life insurance policy was issued in the U.S.

1849 - Abraham Lincoln received a patent for the floating dry dock.

1868 - Near Marshfield, IN, The "Great Train Robbery" took place. The robbery was worth $96,000 in cash, gold and bonds to the seven members of the Reno gang.

1872 - The Amnesty Act restored civil rights to Southerners.

1908 - The Wright brothers registered their flying machine for a U.S. patent.

1939 - Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini signed a military alliance between Germany and Italy known as the "Pact of Steel."

1947 - The Truman Doctrine was enacted by the U.S. Congress to appropriate military and economic aid Turkey and Greece.

1955 - A scheduled dance to be headlined by Fats Domino was canceled by police in Bridgeport, Connecticut because "rock and roll dances might be featured."

1955 - Jack Benny did his last live network radio broadcast after a run of 23 years. He devoted his time fully to TV.

1967 - "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" premiered on PBS.

1990 - Microsoft released Windows 3.0.

1992 - Johnny Carson hosted NBC's "Tonight Show" for the last time. He had been host for 30 years.

2002 - In Birmingham, AL, a jury convicted former Ku Klux Klansman Bobby Frank Cherry of murder in the 1963 church bombing that killed four girls.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I've learned that depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

Oh man, I would LOVE to get out there for that party. Sounds like the kind of family thing we used to do when I was a kid. Miss that. But you know Michael... we have a DFS class tomorrow at 0800, so that means setting up for it this afternoon.

Mornin' all,

We are still here in Cypress TX, 75F, overcast, going to warm and muggy today. The heavy weather was north of us. T-storms, wind and hail. Somebody hijacked our rain so I have none to send on to Mexstan.

All you clam lovers, ever heard of a "geoduck" calm. WA state has them, big things. It is pronounced gooyduck. I had a bumper sticker that said "Goeoduck for Washington State Bird."

Redleg, thanks for starting the coffee. Where ph00? Oh guess I will make some industrial strength ph00, then use it to whip up some iced mocha, Bobs goes on the top shelf of the frig so he don't have to bend his back to get it.

Chaikwa, read the trivia as I enjoyed thanks for posting. Don't work too hard setting up.

Time to take the Dragon out for a walk, he is restless and snorting fire this morning.

Hvytrkmech your party for kid brother sounds great. Any left overs feel free to put on the breakroom counter.

Hat, ladies night out. Is that another way to say "trouble?"

Have a good un, and be safe out there

Morning all. Been too busy to get on here and natter. Another fine (but very dry) day here in Paradise. May tends to be our hottest month, so it should start cooling off soon, especially when the rains finally arrive. Got to hurry up and finish some outside maintenance work on my house before things get too wet. When it rains here, it RAINS! A short "shower" of about 30 minutes can easily cause flooded roads and sundry other problems.

Hope all of you have a great day, make good progress on your various projects, don't hurt (yourselves) too much, eat too much or get sick (or sicker).

I am always of good cheer, but everybody down here (plants especially) would be cheerier with some of your rain. Many afternoons here recently it clouds over a bit as though the heavens are thinking about rain, but nada.

everyone here would be happier if you had some of the rain too...
We would also like to see it get in the gulf a little faster.

Mornin' all!

Nice day out so far. Stayed at the Hospital with Mama and the littlest one last night. Both are doing awesome.

I'm disappointed that the giant earthquake didn't happen though. Now I'm gonna have to pay the mortgage.......

Got the paper and drip edge on yesterday and I got all the shingles up on the roof. We had to stop on account of rain. Only got one short side of the roof shingled and a start on one long side. Sunny today and letting things dry out.
Going to watch hockey and clean up the floor in the garage. Tomorrow is Victoria Day here and we will finish the roof in the morning.

Hope everyone has a good day and a better week.

I will do my rain dance and aim it all at Stan.

Time to adjust the Pho00oGoo4awluvEwe.

I think its time for a late breakfast. MmmmMmmmmeat.
